Like many modern shooters, Gray Zone Warfare makes you pick one of three factions when first starting off. These factions can greatly influence your in-game exprience. But are you locked into this choice for good? Continue reading and find out for yourself.
Can you change factions in Gray Zone Warfare?
Factions are an essential part of Gray Zone Warfare. The Lamang Recovery Initiative; Mithras Security Systems; Crimson Shield International – each faction has its own distinct base, style, and set of tasks. Whichever faction you choose will greatly influence your time playing GZW – and even who you can team up with.
But the good news is that yes, you can change factions in Gray Zone Warfare. But to do so, you need to completely delete your character and restart your progress. This means wiping your current character and creating a new one before choosing which faction you want to join.
How to delete your character in Gray Zone Warfare
To rip the band-aid off and wipe your character, hit the “Wipe Character” button on the bottom right of the main menu screen. When the on-screen prompt shows up (as seen below), click “Yes, I’m Sure” to make your fateful choice.
While this might seem like a bold decision, remember that you have to be in the same faction in order to play with your friends and communicate with them. And seeing as this is currently the only way to change factions, we recommend you follow this process as early as possible in order not to lose valuable loot and progress.
