TIER LIST ORGANIZATION: We split the tier lists into three sections: Tank, DPS, and Support, based on which purpose a certain champion serves. Note that some champions with the Control role actually serve as DPSs, while some Mages, for example, serve as supports. It all depends on what kind of kit they have. Here is what champion roles are included in each section:

Will champions from future seasons be better than the current ones?
More often than not, new season champions will be better than last season's. However, the biggest differences will be amongst the DPS/Support champions, narrowing down where you'll want to spend your resources.
Should you save resources to pull for next-season champions or use them now?
Generally, you'll want to focus on 6-10 champions each season, depending on how much you play. The worst thing you can do is upgrade all champions evenly, as most of them are just not good, and they become even less valuable as new seasons are launched.
