Spooks meet snoots in upcoming doggo co-op horror game

Cozy, spooky, zoomies anyone?

Step aside Resident Evil! Clear out the way Silent Hill! There's a new horror game in town, combining scares and snoots in an adorable dog-focused co-op horror game.

Haunted Paws, developed by indie studio Lazy Flock, sees you and a friend whack on your collars and head into a haunted mansion to rescue your best human friend. If this isn't the cutest premise for a game in 2024, I don't know what is, to be completely honest.

We don't know much about the game just yet, but the X (formerly known as Twitter) account has shared a few tidbits. Every sinister creature the dynamic doggo duo meets on their adventure conceals a troubled past. These form the crux of the gameplay, with players needing to solve the mysteries surrounding them and ultimately defeat them to rescue their human pal. Oh, and you'll also be able to do normal doggo things like dig, sniff, bark, and most importantly, have a zoomies moment.

You'll be able to pick from a number of the most popular dog breeds to play as, and even give them a fancy hat. I, my friends, am sold.

The game has got a lot of attention following a viral TikTok. Over 55,000 people have liked the TikTok with 402 comments, many of which are asking the developer to bring the game to consoles for some cozy, couch co-op action.

Lazy Flock is currently working to get the Steam page and announcement trailer ready for the game for June 4th. No release date has been announced for the game just yet, nor have any other platforms been confirmed just yet. Luckily, it seems as though we won't have to wait too much longer to find out more information.
