Best War Medals farm in Helldivers 2

War Medals are one of the two major resources you need to get to unlock more weapons and armor in Helldivers 2. Just playing the game as intended will earn you some but there's a farm method you can use to earn a lot in a relatively short amount of time.

How to farm War Medals efficiently in Helldivers 2

The true best method of farming War Medals is to run Blitz missions or Defensive missions on Medium or lower difficulty against Terminid enemies. These types of missions last a maximum of 10 to 12 minutes and usually can be done well before the clock ticks down to zero. Terminid enemies are also much easier to face off against at lower difficulties, and most of them can be shredded with standard gunfire without the need for anti-tank weapons.

Medium-difficulty missions reward a healthy amount of War Medals, and they're easy to complete quickly, meaning this is a strong farm if they are all you're aiming for.

War Medals are a valuable currency in Helldivers 2 because they are key to unlocking new ways of facing the hordes of the Terminid and Automatons. As mentioned, they're best earned by running high-difficulty missions, but unless you're with a strong, teamwork-ordinated squad, just running difficult missions won't earn you a lot in the short term.

How to use War Medals in Helldivers 2

Once you've earned yourself some War Medals, they can be exchanged for various items in Warbonds. You can think of Warbonds as glorified battle passes, except they have no expiration date, and you can earn the right to obtain stuff from them just by playing the game normally. Every item within a Warbond costs a specific amount of War Medals to purchase, and each tier requires you to have used a certain amount of War Medals within that Warbond.
