The Grenade Launcher unlocks once you reach level 5. Interact with the Ship Management module and scroll to the Stratagem section. Support weapons like the Grenade Launcher, Laser Cannon, Supply Pack, and Incendiary Mines can be unlocked from the Engineering Bay.

You must have around 5000 Requisition Slips to unlock the Grenade Launcher, so it is best to save up on the credits while progressing through the early phases of the game. After unlocking this strategem use it during missions to blast powerful bugs and robots. Here are the Grenade Launcher's stats and traits:

• Cooldown Time: 480 seconds
• Call-in Time: 3 seconds
• Usage: Unlimited
• Support Weapon
• Hellpod
• Explosive

How to use the Grenade Launcher in Helldivers 2

Once the briefing for a mission is complete, you must select a loadout to go ahead. Choose between the best offensive, defensive, support, and other strategem to have a balanced composition in your team. For instance, I like to use the Grenade Launcher, Gatling Turret, and the Eagle Cluster Bomb to eliminate powerful foes quickly during raids.

After landing on a planet, call in the Grenade Launcher strategem to collect and equip the weapon. Your party members can also pick up and use the weapon once the strategem is deployed. This weapon is designed to eliminate enemies from a distance and can be lethal to your character if fired at close range. So, if you are being chased by a bunch of bugs or robots, sprint away quickly to create distance before shooting with the Grenade Launcher. Remember to preserve ammunition as this strategem can run out of shells quickly.
