The rumor mill is churning, with claims that Hogwarts Legacy is not only getting a game sequel but a TV show too. But Warner Bros. or Avalanche Software has officially confirmed neither of these whispers, so where did they come from? Here are the Hogwarts Legacy TV show and sequel rumors explained.
Is Hogwarts Legacy getting a game sequel?
While Hogwarts Legacy 2 hasn't been confirmed yet, Warner Bros. left a crumb of hope in a February 2023 interview with Variety. When discussing the game's success, the company's president, David Haddad, responded, "We are very pleased with the initial launch and see a bright future for our other platform launches."

This could be taken as a hint for the future of the series, whether that means DLC, Hogwarts Legacy 2, or something completely new. Either way, it seems Warner Bros. is open to exploring the Wizarding World in more detail, but that's all we know for now.
Is Hogwarts Legacy getting a TV show?
As for a TV show, entertainment website Giant Freakin Robot reported that a Hogwarts Legacy series is "in the works" with HBO Max, claiming that the information came from "trusted and proven" sources. No plot or casting details were shared.

If it were to happen, it would likely follow the same (or very similar) plot as the game, with a Hogwarts student trying to stop the goblin rebellion. Neither HBO Max nor Warner Bros. has confirmed this rumor at the time of writing, so take it with a grain of salt. We'll update you if either of these rumors becomes official.
