There are many aspects to survival games, Icarus included, that players will need to master and manage to survive. One such aspect is hunger. The player can hunt and scavenge many different types of food to fend off hunger, but one type of food that is good is bread.
To make bread in Icarus, you will need to work for it. There are many steps involved with bread making, and players won't be able to do it for a while. To make bread in Icarus, follow these steps.
- Unlock the Mortar and Pestle and Flour blueprints in Tier 2 of the Tech Tree.
- Unlock Kitchen Bench, Gas Stove, Biofuel Composter, and Biofuel Can in Tier 3 of the Tech Tree.
- Use the Mortar and Pestle to craft Flour (Requires 10 Wheat).
- Use the Kitchen Bench to craft Bread Dough (Requires 5 Wheat, 1 Yeast optional).
- Use the Gas Stove to craft Bread (Not using Yeast makes Flatbread).
Bread and Flatbread work a little differently than most food in Icarus. They do not restore health but rather increase the player's maximum health considerably. This makes a valuable food item. The primary difference between Bread and Flatbread is that Bread will also grant the player some experience.
