Once the dog jumps into the river in INDIKA, don't assume it is dead, as it will attack you again. If you want to survive, you'll need to find out how to escape the dog in the Mill, which is where my guide comes in.
The first chase scene with the dog is pretty brief after you escape the upside down house and run into Ilya. However, once you reach the Mill and the dog jumps into the freezing cold river, I knew that it would pop back up.
How to get away from the dog in the Mill in INDIKA
To get away from the dog in the Mill in INDIKA, you have to be very fast. One second of hesitation will lead to your death (speaking from a lot of experience). Once the dog climbs up to the Mill and Indika crosses the plank, start running to the left.
Jump over the barrels quickly and then cross to the right side on the second beam. Watch out so as not to get knocked over from the beam. As soon as you are on the other side, go to the left. There's a room at the end of the path that Indika will run into.
But you're not safe just yet, as the door you close is pretty flimsy. Quickly start moving the table in the room towards the other door so that you can climb across it.
Once you're on the other side, run towards the path that goes along the wall. The dog will jump in front of you so be ready to turn back around and go down the other path that is closer to the door you just climbed over.
This is the last path you need to run down. In the end, Ilya will wait for you to help you up while the dog falls down and dies. This is the last time you'll be seeing it.
