With that said, here are all the shell types currently available in Iron Nest:
| Shell Type | What to use for? |
|---|---|
| HE Shell In-game Description: Standard burst load shell; Radius: 0.27 km blast radius. Cost: 3 Requisition Credits | This is the most standard shell type in Iron Nest. You can use them to eliminate artillery batteries, infantry divisions, mechanized targets, and civil riots. |
| HCHE Shell In-game Description: Max Burst Charge, Overpressure Effect, Secure Fuse; Radius: 0.63 km blast radius. Cost: 5 Requisition Credits | This shell is significantly more destructive than standard HE rounds, boasting more than double the blast radius. It is an excellent choice when you need to eliminate two or more targets in close proximity, saving both time and Requisition Credits. Just be careful not to eliminate friendly units or other unintended targets due to its massive blast radius. |
| AP Shell In-game Description: Hard-core Penetr; For ARMR Targets; Radius: 0.14 km blast radius. Cost: 3 Requisition Credits | AP shells are essentially armor-piercing hole-punchers. They offer surgical precision and massive penetrating power within a small blast radius. Designed to destroy bunkers, armored targets, and other underground facilities, these shells excel in situations where deep penetration is required to achieve the desired destructive effect. |
| S.T.A.R Shell In-game Description: Illum. High-Lum Flare CT Parachute Drop; Radius: 12.74 km illumination radius. Cost: 1 Requisition Credit | This is a non-combat shell, designed to illuminate a big radius of land. It's basically a recon shell, but it can also be used for false flag operations. |
| SMOKE Shell In-game Description: Screening Cloud, Long-Burning Canister; No Open Flame; Radius: 1.86 km blast radius. Cost: 1 Requisition Credit | Another non-lethal shell type, Smoke shells can be used to create smokescreens, obscure specific locations, control crowds during civil unrest, and serve other tactical purposes. According to the developers, they currently have no practical use in the game, but related mission objectives and mechanics are planned for future updates. |
| PHOSGENE In-game Description: Toxic Choking Agent, Cloud Release; Radius: 1.85 km blast radius. Cost: TBA | A perfect weapon when you want to eliminate enemy personnel while keeping the surrounding infrastructure intact. It is highly effective against infantry units, civil unrest, and other unarmored human targets. |
| TEAR GAS In-game Description: Non-Lethal Irritant CS Dispersion; Radius: 1.86 km blast radius. Cost: TBA | Another non-lethal shell type, this round is designed for situations where you need to disperse crowds during civil unrest or render infantry combat ineffective while sparing their lives.
