Kingshot Heroes Tier List (In-Depth Version)
In the section below, we've listed all the heroes in Kingshot, ordered by their ranking in the tier list from best to worst. We included each hero's pros and cons in the rightmost column, which are the main basis for their ranking. There are also some general tips on where it's best to use each hero in the Ranking Cummary column, so be sure to check that out.
IMPORTANT STATS: Lethality is a much harder stat to stack compared to Attack, so it's always a priority when looking at Expedition Skill/Widget buffs. These heroes will always have priority on offense. However, if you're already stacking a lot of Lethality, Attack boosts will equal out in value. For defense, HP is the most important for Infantry heroes.
S Tier Heroes - The Best Heroes in Kingshot
Hero | Type & Class | Ranking Summary |
---|---|---|
![]() Amadeus | ![]() Combat ![]() Infantry | + The best Infantry hero even after later generations come out + Very high HP and decent other stats for a Gen 1 hero + OP offensive buffs make him a meta offensive rally joiner/lead + Boosts HP and Lethality by up to 15% even when not deployed – Extremely P2W (impossible to star up if you're a F2P player) |
![]() Petra | ![]() Combat ![]() Cavalry | + Available from the Hero Roulette and F2P-friendly + The best offensive Cavalry hero well into the future + Meta offensive rally lead because of her Expedition Skill and Widget buffs – All of her skills are chance-based, and she can brick sometimes – Chance-based skills aren't as good as flat Lethality/ATK bonuses |
![]() Marlin | ![]() Combat ![]() Archer | + The best Archer hero until ~Generation 4 + Excellent AoE damage and CC on his Conquest Skills + Meta offensive rally lead because of his Expedition Skill and Widget buffs – P2W as his shards drop from the Hall of Heroes – Chance-based skills aren't as good as flat Lethality/ATK bonuses |

Hero | Type & Class | Ranking Summary |
---|---|---|
![]() Jabel | ![]() Combat ![]() Cavalry | + The most F2P-friendly hero in the game (easiest SSR to max out as a F2P) + Solid Cavalry hero for literally all game modes + Best used as a rally lead because of her chance-based buffs – Becomes suboptimal after Gen 3 as Petra is just much better |

![]() Jaeger | ![]() Combat ![]() Archer | + Solid Archer for garrison because of his defensive buffs + Performs very well in PvP because of his high base stats and good utility – Relatively P2W as you can't get him from Hero Roulette – Low priority as he isn't a massive upgrade over Saul/Marlin |

B Tier Heroes
SR HEROES: SR heroes don't have the abilities or the stats to compete with SSR heroes when it comes to Conquest/PvP game modes. So, they are mostly used for their Expedition Skill buffs. Early on, use Yeonwoo, Diana, Howard, and other AoE/tank SR heroes until you get something better.

![]() Quinn | ![]() Combat ![]() Archer | + Solid offensive rally lead because of his DEF and DMG Expedition Skill buffs + Decent Archer for PvP/Conquest because of his single-target DPS + One of the easiest SR heroes to star up and upgrade – Can't compare to SSR heroes in terms of stats/Conquest Skills |
![]() Diana | ![]() Combat ![]() Archer | + Solid AoE damage and one of the best SR heroes for PvP/Conquest + The reduced Stamina Costs and March/Rally March Speed are nice – One of the lowest upgrade priorities among the SR heroes – Can't compare to SSR heroes in terms of stats/Conquest Skills |
![]() Gordon | ![]() Combat ![]() Cavalry | + Meta SR lead/join for garrison because of his +25% HP and +25% ATK buffs – Fairly useless for Conquest/PvP because of his subpar abilities – Can't compare to SSR heroes in terms of stats/Conquest Skills |
C Tier Heroes
R HEROES: R heroes are the worst Kingshot has to offer when it comes to combat. Their main use is the Growth boosts they provide, and you'll passively upgrade them as you play. You should try to switch them out for higher-rarity ones as soon as possible.

---|---|---|
![]() Fahd | ![]() Combat ![]() Cavalry | + Provides up to +100% March Speed for Solo Hunting – Poor DPS and subpar support skills make him garbage for Conquest/Arena – The worst and least important SR hero in the whole game – Can't compare to SSR heroes in terms of stats/Conquest Skills |

Hero Types, Classes, and Generations in Kingshot
How Hero Classes Work
There are three classes of heroes in Kingshot: Archer, Cavalry, and Infantry. They all serve different purposes and revolve around different types of abilities. Here is a short summary of each class and what it does best:
Hero Class | Description |
---|---|
![]() Archer | Archers are the main damage-dealers in Kingshot. However, to balance out their high damage, they have very low HP and DEF. They are often the most important class for offensive modes, such as the Bear Hunt. The most important Archer stat is Lethality. |
![]() Cavalry | Cavalry is the middle ground between Infantry and Archers. They deal a lot of damage and have solid defensive stats as well. However, they won't be able to match the DPS of Archers. The most important Cavalry stat is Lethality. |
![]() Infantry | Infantry are the frontliners, and without them tanking, both your Archers and Cavalry heroes won't be able to deal the damage they're supposed to deal. The most important stats for Infantry are HP and Defense. |
How Hero Types Work
There are two basic types of heroes in Kingshot: Combat and Growth. Depending on which category a certain hero falls into, they will have specific skills and passives boosting that aspect of the gameplay. Here is what each type means:
Hero Type | Description |
---|---|
![]() Combat | Combat heroes specialize in combat with all their skills and passives. They are essential for all battle-type content in Kingshot, and they should be your long-term upgrade priority, regarding both skills and gear. |
![]() Growth | Growth heroes provide bonuses to your city, whether for gathering/production or building/research bonuses. All R heroes are Growth-type and are good for the early game. Some SR and SSR heroes are also Growth, though they are not as specialized in it as the R ones. |
How Hero Generations Work
Heroes in Kingshot are released in waves called Generations. As the age of the server you're playing on grows, so will the new events, heroes, and other content become unlocked. Each new generation's heroes will have ~20% higher stats than the previous. Below, you can find all the heroes released so far, categorized by their generation. What are the best SR heroes in Kingshot?
SR heroes are your bread and butter, especially as a F2P (free-to-play) player. There aren't really the best ones, but there are some that are worth investing more into, namely, Howard and Gordon are good for defense, Chenko, Amane, and Yeonwoo are good for offense, and Diana is good for hunting.
Should you invest in current heroes or wait for one of the next Generations?
Upcoming generations will bring better and stronger heroes, and it's very worth saving for them. Also, not all hero shards are equally difficult to obtain, like Amadeus, who you can reliably get only from paid VIP special packs. So, gauge the next generation's heroes, their difficulty of obtainment, what you're currently working with, and whether you really need an immediate upgrade or not.
