Fans eager for the release of ARPG finally got some positive news this week, as the much-anticipated fantasy epic gave some firm dates for a Q1 2024 release.
According to a news release from game director Judd Cobler on the official Last Epoch website, version 1.0 of the game will arrive on our screens on February 21, 2024.
Last Epoch 1.0 release date and road map
Last Epoch, billed as a coop hack and slash experience, released its roadmap for the 1.0 release on Friday, including several previews before the release. The dates in full are as follows:
- January 11, 2024: Item Factions - Trade versus Prophecies
- January 25, 2024: Warlock Preview - First view
- February 8, 2024: Falconer Preview - First look
- February 21, 2024 - Last Epoch 1.0 Launch Day

In the larger statement, Cobler recognized the Last Epoch release date was later than we had all hoped for. However, with the sketchy-at-best record of Kickstarter-funded games and a series of bug-ridden and half-backed releases of late, I can’t help thinking waiting for the game to be ready is a more sustainable business model. The busy December release calendar was also cited as an issue, with Cobler stating they “didn’t want the ARPG community to have to choose” between several new offerings.
Sustainable new content releases every few months are also promised, adding to the game as well as refining and balancing it, with everything from new end-game content to quality-of-life features in the mix.
