Love and Deepspace is finally getting a highly-anticipated character

Is this the enemies to lovers storyline we always wanted?

Love and Deepspace developer InFold games has finally given us the resident evil bad boy character of our dreams. Prepare your hearts and your wallets.

Information about the game's main antagonist Sylus becoming a love interest was leaked from an anonymous source on June 21st. After some remorse and rallying from the LDS team at InFold games, the long-awaited official trailer is finally here!

Sylus is arguably one of the most plot-heavy characters in the game. Without spoiling too much for any new recruits, he is seen as the main big bad evil guy of the story so far. This has stirred a lot of buzz in the Love and Deepspace communities on Reddit and other social media platforms with people wondering exactly how InFold is going to insert him into the MC's current dynamic. July 15th definitely cannot come soon enough!

Love and Deepspace is known to be a bit more love than it is deep space and a lot of people (me included) are crossing their fingers for an enemies-to-lovers theme with this new release. The currently released content certainly hints at a more edgy and spicy theme which is a new and welcome change of pace. This is reinforced by the more intimate story trailer dropped earlier today (July 10th).

The more.....adult themes of the trailer quickly caused an upheaval of impatient fans on the LDS subreddit. Anticipation is high and InFold is ready to deliver.

What else is on its way?

Not only are things about to get a little more angsty around town, but Love and Deepspace is making it easy for players to secure Sylus for themselves.

Upon logging in after the update on July 15th, it seems that players will be able to secure a 5-star version of Sylus for free. This means that any and everyone excited to meet him will get their chance as soon as possible. There have also been announcements of a free claimable 4-star version and another 5-star available as a weekly log-in benefit. In short, InFold is keeping us well fed.

Collectibles

In true 'gotta collect them all' spirit, LDS is also releasing a limited-time banner event where players can pull for a rare 5-star Sylus titled [No Defense Zone].

As of right now, it's unclear how to obtain this card as well as how much it will cost in terms of in-game currency. However, these unknowns do not stop loyal fans from saving up as much as they can in anticipation. One Reddit user even posted their hoard of diamonds in preparation.

Besides these recently announced banners, there is no more information involving soon-to-be-available Sylus cards. In true LDS fashion, I'm sure there'll be plenty to come.

Important Notice: if you are a new player or haven't progressed very far in the story, make sure you get to Sylus' introduction in the main storyline before the update. Similar to other companions, if you collect their cards before meeting them in-game, you will not accrue affinity!

Hopefully, Sylus lives up to the hype and mystique surrounding him. The July 15th update is set to be a big one, so make sure to prepare yourselves!
