Can you believe it’s already been almost a year since the launch of Marvel Rivals? To celebrate the occasion, developer NetEase Games is throwing a big anniversary event for the community. Starting later in Season 5 with the November 27 update, Marvel Rivals players will be able to claim 2,500 free Units and an incredibly awesome Legendary Jeff skin.
Marvel Rivals Season 5 Brings Free Legendary Jeff Skin and 2500 Units
Season 5 marks the first anniversary of the hit hero shooter, and you won’t want to miss it. There are free goodies just around the corner. Jeff the Land Shark is one of the community’s favorite characters, so it’s no surprise that we’ll be getting his legendary skin for free.
For now, we’ve only seen the concept art, but it looks like a corporate businessman version of the adorable shark, complete with a suit, tie, fancy shoes, oversized round glasses, and scattered sticky notes. Heck, he even has a USB cable wrapped around his fin. Talk about attention to detail!
But that’s not all. We’re also getting 2,500 free Units, just in time for the new anniversary cosmetics. You can spend them on a Legendary bundle, or maybe grab an Epic and a Rare instead. That’s quite a hefty sum, perfect for finally buying that skin you’ve been eyeing for a while. Still, if I were you, I’d think about saving them for the anniversary cosmetics.
How to Get Free Marvel Rivals Anniversary Rewards?
As we've mentioned, the anniversary event kicks off two weeks after the launch of Season 5, alongside the November 27 update. We currently don't have the exact details on how to claim these rewards, as the event is still weeks away. In the official Season 5 video, the developers mentioned that players can "join our anniversary event" to earn 2500 units and a free Legendary Jeff costume.
This probably means you’ll just need to log in once the event begins to automatically claim your rewards. However, that hasn’t been officially confirmed yet. There might be a small requirement, such as playing a match or two. Once we know exactly how to claim the Marvel Rivals anniversary rewards, we’ll update this article.
Marvel Rivals Anniversary Skins
Aside from the free rewards, the developers are also releasing a set of anniversary skins inspired by community ideas and creations. As with Jeff’s Legendary skin, we’ve only seen concept art so far (showcased in the Season 5 deep-dive video), but judging from those designs, they look incredibly fun and perfectly celebratory, fitting for the occasion.
