The Archetype system in Metaphor: ReFantazio is similar to the Personas from the Persona series. Each Archetype has its own unique skills and stat boosts - but, there are no masks in Metaphor: ReFantazio. Instead, you and your Followers will fully transform when using any Archetype's skill. Find all Archetypes and upgrades in Metaphor: ReFantazio in this guide.
Every Archetype and their Skills in Metaphor: ReFantazio
Any party member can equip an Archetype at its most basic level, and multiple characters can use the same class simultaneously. Archetypes cannot be changed mid-battle, so it's important to speak to More before entering an area that you'll be stuck in for a while.
Archetypes typically evolve twice from their base forms, forming a lineage for that Archetype. However, some evolve more than twice (some only once), and some later Archetype upgrades can only be equipped by their original user.
Below, you'll find information for all 14 base Archetypes, including their upgrades, skills, and weaknesses. You will find that all Archetypes require a Follower Bond.
