How to farm Weapon/Armor Spheres in Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin??

Gotta farm those mining points!

After you've finished the story, the game is far from over. You have tons of quests to complete, monsters to fight and hatch, as well bringing High Rank hunts and materials to the table.

A material you need lots of is Weapon/Armor Spheres for crafting High Rank equipment, yet finding these are hard to come by, as you can only get them from mining ore. But there is a place you can go to with lots of ore to mine, making this progress so much easier.

Fast travel to the Base of Mt. Lavina, then open up the map. You want to head towards Lavina Mine Cave, southeast of the Catavan stand, where you spawn.

When inside, explore the area, and you'll find loads of mining spots. If you want to do this interrupted, have a Nargacuga as your lead monster, and use their Riding Action Stealth. Or use the Quick Finish LT + RT if it appears to end the fight instantly.

Or bring along a monstie whose Riding Action is Ore Search, and mining points will be highlighted on the mini-map when used.

Once the area has been thoroughly mined. Teleport to a village, then teleport back to the Base of Mt. Lavina, head back into the Lavina Lava Cave, and rinse and repeat. It may still take a while, but it's quicker than entering monster dens and mining the limited mining nodes that appear.
