Subnautica: Below Zero Snowfox Update Patch Notes – New Vehicle, Creatures, and Recipe Pinning!

A new update for Subnautica: Below Zero has just gone live and it brings a bunch of exciting new additions to the game! There's the snow vehicle called the Snowfox! This is a land based vehicle and can take you across some of the treacherous cold areas in the game. There's also been the addition of some new creatures. The land prowling Snow Stalkers, and the new leviathan class creatures called the Chelicrate! We've got all of the notes from this update below.

Walking is so last year. Upgrade your movement for faster navigation across stretches of land with the Snowfox. Fully customizable and upgradeable, the Snowfox takes land movement from slow to go. Optional speed boost for an extra kick and Alterra standard-issue light included.

The first land vehicle in the Subnautica universe, the Snowfox is ideal for rapid transit across above-ground terrain.

Speed up travel time above ground using the Snowfox, traversing wide stretches of ice and snow with ease.

Upgrade your Snowfox with the Jump Module (coming soon) to add a spring to your glide.

Oh, Baby

They might look cute, but these cuddly babies grow into terrifying Snow Stalkers -- A dangerous land creature that charges down its prey. Identifiable by a long snout jam-packed with deadly teeth, keep a sharp eye out for these aggressive beasts.

Home to the Snow Stalker, the Glacial Basin biome is a wide stretch of frozen land boasting diverse geographical features such as waterfalls, caves, rivers, and lakes. It has long served as an important area to Alterra Research, as well.

A leviathan class creature, little is known about the Chelicerate. One thing that is certain, this plated invertebrate is shockingly aggressive. Its intimidating and numerous mandibles send a clear message: Stay away, or else.

Hauntingly beautiful purple particulate flows from deep thermal vents in this new biome. Feather fish flourish here, alongside the terrifying Chelicerate.

Sleeper Module

After a tiring day of exploration, take a much needed break in the Sleeper Module, an attachment for the Seatruck. Complete with a bed, jukebox (functionality coming soon), and picture frame, you can take a slice of home wherever you adventure.

Docking Module

Make your PRAWN suit portable with this Seatruck module. Attach it as the last module on your Seatruck for the ability to take your PRAWN suit on the go.

Perimeter Defense

Defend yourself from trouble early by upgrading your Seatruck to identify and respond to nearby threats.

Brinewings seem to fly through the water with their gracious sails. You can look but don’t get too close. These friendly-looking creatures are deadly at range with the ability to fire icicles from a store of supercooled saline, temporarily immobilizing victims long enough to attack.

Start Pinning

No need to constantly open the PDA anymore, recipes can now be pinned! Quickly see ingredients and collection progress as you hunt for materials. Simply left-click the recipe icon in your PDA to pin it to your HUD.
