Guilds in Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds are called Kingdoms and are locked at the start of the game. You will need to complete a few quests—namely, the side quest called Kingdom, as well as raise your reputation. You should be able to speak to Catherine when you have reached the halfway point to Evermore Grade 3. Once you do this, you will have access to guilds.

How to create and join a Guild

From the main menu, you will need to select the Kingdom option. This will open a new screen where you have the option to Create or Join a Kingdom. Simply select the option that you prefer. If you are joining a guild, you will need to search or find the name, whereas upon creating a guild, you will be able to name it yourself.
