The third and potentially last installment of the No More Heroes franchise will now find its way onto new hardware. No More Heroes 3 is being ported by XSEED Games, the same studio that handled the ports for No More Heroes 1 and 2. No More Heroes 3 will soon be available on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S/X, and PC.
The port is slated to release sometime in the fall of 2022. XSEED appears to be selling a normal version of the game and a collector's edition version. The Collector edition will have a book, an extra disc, and a license plate from Santa Destroy.
No More Heroes 3 was originally released as a Nintendo Switch exclusive in Aug. 2021. The game serves as the last entry of the No More Heroes trilogy starring lead protagonist Travis Touchdown. The game was developed by Grasshopper Manufacture under the leadership of game industry veteran Goichi Suda.
No More Heroes 3 has Travis defend his home city of Santa Destroy from an invading army of aliens. The Aliens declare themselves as "superheroes", and it is up to Travis to go through the nine "superheroes" and the army's prince to save his city and world. The game received favorable reviews from critics, though some fans have taken umbrage with the direction the game took. No More Heroes 3 also had mostly middling sales, but maybe the ports on the PlayStation and Xbox can raise the overall sales for the title.
