All Octopath Traveler 2 Inventor Items

Gotta catch em' all.

Perhaps the biggest fetch quest in Octopath Traveler 2 is earning all of the skills for the Inventor class. Instead of using JP like other classes, players will need to find specific items to unlock the skills for this secret job. Getting these items will take players all across the region, and it will likely take a while to get all of them.

Critical Scope

The easiest Inventor skill to find in Octopath Traveler 2 is the Critical Scope, since it only requires two items. The Unerring Ring can be found in the New Delsta item shop.

The Critical Ring is found in another item shop, this time in Canalbrine.

Elemental Bomb Bottle

For this skill, players will need a Fire, Ice, and Thunder Soulstone. These can easily be picked up by traveling through the world and battling enemies, though. The difficult part of unlocking this skill is finding the other required object; a Rainbow Glass Bottle. To find it, head to Conning Creek and travel North to where Cateracta's cave is. Instead of taking a boat to the cave, travel north along the beach and search the red chest there for the Rainbow Glass Bottle.

Arkar's Coil

This skill requires three items: Scrap Metal, an Ancient Cog, and a Natural Magnetite. The Scrap Metal can be taken off of this NPC in Clockbank.

The Natural Magnetite is hidden in the Unfinished Tunnel. This area can be found southwest of Crackridge. It's generally a good place to loot, so it's a good idea to search throughout the tunnel.

Finally, the Ancient Cog is found on Roque Island. Players won't be able to get there without a ship, so make sure to do Partitio's Scent of Commerce side quest in Tropu'Hopu. After that, sail to Roque Island, enter the city and look for this house at night for the Ancient Cog.

Hastening Hammer

The required items for this skill are the Soldier's Bow, the Guardian's Axe, and the Great Blade. Luckily, two out of three of these can be found in Stormhail. The Guardian's Axe can be bought at the shop in Stormhail. For the Great Blade, talk to this NPC in the Tavern.

Tin Horn

This skill requires another three items, but one of them is very easy to find. Empowering Lychees are abundant in Octopath Traveler 2, and players will likely have a bunch of them by the time they find the Inventor's headquarters. The other two necessary items are the Tin Toy and the Mythical Horn.

For the Tin Toy, go to the Department Store in Wellgrove. This NPC on the second floor will have a Tin Toy on them.

The Mythical Horn is found in the Nameless Village, which can be found by Tropu'Hopu. Knock out this NPC with a class action to open the chest behind them, granting the Mythical Horn.
