Best build for Castti in Octopath Traveler 2

Apothecaries appear to be just as good in Octopath Traveler 2 as in the game's prequel. Castti is the primary Apothecary of the cast, and she is arguably the best at that role given her Latent Power, which lets her use concoct without wasting ingredients. Give her the right skills, and Castti will become a one-woman defensive backbone for any team.

How should players build Castti in Octopath Traveler 2?

Perhaps more so than any other character in Octopath Traveler 2, Castti has enough utility in her base class that she doesn't really need a secondary job to buff her. So long as she has the necessary ingredients, as Apothecary she can keep the team healed, and full of both SP and BP.

Once late game comes around, Castti can benefit well from the Conjurer class. This gives Castti access to the best healing spell in the entire game, Rite of the Sun. This spell revives the entire team along with a bump in physical and elemental defense for two turns. The cost of this spell is that Castti won't be able to act for a while, but she can lower the turn penalty on herself with BP.

The other boon that Conjurer provides for Castti is the SP Saver support skill. This cuts the SP cost for her skills in half, which guarantees that she will never be in a position where she can't heal the team. Ideally, her support skills would look something like this:

• Preventative Measures
