While there is a chat feature which you can use to communicate with the players on your server, there is another more fun way of chatting, and that is posts. Learn how to leave posts in Once Human below.
How to leave messages in the world in Once Human
There are plenty of reasons why you might want to leave messages in the world in Once Human. You might have a solution to a riddle or a passcode that you want to share with others. You can also leave information about different locations, enemies in the area, resources, etc. But what I've found the most fun is random messages from people saying hi and wishing you a nice day.

However you choose to use this function, first you have to learn how to do it. In order to leave messages, you have to craft an item called a Whisper. This item is crafted at the Supplies Workbench in your territory. You'll unlock the formula for the Workbench once you select the Essential Tools Memetic node under the crafting tab.
The Whisper only requires five logs, so it's very easy to make a bunch of them. Just keep in mind you can only place five posts a day, so maybe save one or two if you really need to give a message to other players. Crafting a Whisper is also a task in the Pathfinder Journey, so you'll get rewards when making this item for the first time.
Once you have a Whisper, you can place it whenever you want. Put the item in your toolbar and use it once you have decided where to place it. You can:
- Add a title to your message.
- Add a Tag to specify what the message is about.
- Write a message (with a 150 character limit).
- You can add a photo if you want.
- You can also add a pose.
- Press the button to leave a message once you are done.
