Overwatch 2: All Lifeweaver Abilities, Explained & How to Play

Gives of big Grass Pokémon vibes.

Lifeweaver promises to be one of the more unique supports in Overwatch 2. He is going to lack some offensive capabilities, but he more than makes up for it with his crowd control. Players who end up mastering Lifeweaver can block off entire choke holds and get their allies up to the high ground easily. Here's everything you need to know about his abilities.

What are Lifeweaver's abilities in Overwatch 2?

Thorn Volley

Lifeweaver's primary fire serves as his only damage source in Overwatch 2. Each shot sends two thorns at the enemy. This will double if it is headshots, but it still doesn't deal too much damage. It will mostly be used as a pressuring tool and maybe a way to catch an out-of-position Widowmaker or Hanzo.

Healing Blossom

Lifeweaver can alternate his primary fire between Thorn Volley and this ability, Healing Blossom. Players can shoot repeated Healing Blossoms like a weapon, giving a small burst of healing with each projectile. This ability has 12 ammo, but players can also choose to charge up the ability to give a strong boost of healing at one time.

Petal Platform

As one of Lifeweaver's more unique abilities, this creates a platform that rises a considerable distance above the ground. The Petal can lift either the enemy or an ally for 10 seconds. An enemy can also shoot the Petal down, as it has 400 HP. Players can use this to interrupt an enemy Ultimate (like Orisa's, as shown in the trailer) or help a teammate get to high ground.

Rejuvinating Dash

With this ability, Lifeweaver can dash a small distance and heal up at the same time. This is an easy escape option if Lifeweaver needs to get out of the way of High Noon or D.Va Bomb.

Life Grip

This might be the best ability in Lifeweaver's kit. Life Grip will grab an ally and pull them close to Lifeweaver himself. While it's nice for positioning, the ability also gives the target a juicy shield and a couple of invincibility frames. This can literally save any hero from a bad situation.

Ultimate: Tree of Life

By using this Ultimate, Lifeweaver will spawn a huge golden tree. This will pulsate healing to allies for roughly 10 seconds. The tree is also a huge obstruction, so players can get a lot of value by placing it in front of choke holds, archways, and hallways.
