After the Tides of Terraria update, you can recruit Zoe as an ally in Palworld. There are multiple steps that you need to complete, so here's how to find Zoe in Palworld. To do so, you'll need to complete a special mission for her.
Where to Find Zoe in Palworld (Map Coordinates) - Terraria Update
To find Zoe, you need to make your way to the Desolate Church at the following coordinates: (62, -415) in Palworld. Here you'll find her standing close to the altar. You don't need to worry about any hostiles, because there are none in the area.
However, keep in mind that in order to access her questline, you will need to complete the Rayne Syndicate Tower, where you need to defeat Zoe and Grizzbolt. If you haven't completed this step, you'll find this tower at the (111, -429) coordinates.
Zoe is a level 15 character, and whatever missions she hands out to you are located in low-level areas in Palworld. Not only does this make her an easy ally to acquire, but it's also good for those who are just starting on their adventure. When you find her, simply approach and speak with her. Here she'll tell you to catch a Grizzbolt for her.
Where to Find Grizzbolt in Palworld
To find and catch a Grizzbolt, make your way to Wildlife Sanctuary 1, which is southwest of the Plateau of Beginnings waypoint (93, -720). Make sure you have some flying pals at your disposal; otherwise, traveling to this area can be a pain. You'll encounter a lot of Pals here, which you can either catch or ignore. Make sure to have a few spare Pal Spheres for Grizzbolt in case you're chasing down other Pals too.
The process to capture this electric rodent is the same as any other Pal: reduce its health and then throw a Pal Sphere at it. However, if you're an old player, you're likely going to be at a high level. So, make sure you have the Ring of Mercy equipped.
This item ensures that your attacks won't kill an untamed Pal or an ally, but it'll bring them down to 1 HP, which is enough for you to capture them. It's a level 19 Ancient Technology Research item. To craft the Ring of Mercy, you need the following parts:
- 30 Ingot
- 20 Palladium
- 5 Ancient Civilization Parts
If you're low level and you can't deal enough damage, then you can ignore the Ring of Mercy. It's not an important item to have for this encounter, but it definitely makes things easier for a high-level player.
With the Grizzbolt neatly tucked away in one of the Pal Spheres, make your way back to Zoe and show her the one that you captured. However, before you do this, remember to set your Pals on the "Do Not Attack" mode. If you don't, then the moment you summon Grizzbolt, it'll start attacking Zoe in Palworld. Talk to her, and your next quest step will begin.
Where to Capture or Defeat Five Free Pal Alliance Members
To find these Free Pal Alliance members, head to the location north of the Desolate Church. Additionally, you can also visit the Ancient Ritual Site Fast Travel point at the following coordinates: (-17,-294).
Both these sites are usually crawling with Free Pal Alliance members, and you need to either capture or defeat five of them. If you plan to beat them, make sure to unequip the Ring of Mercy that you previously equipped. Once you've dealt with them, return to Zoe and speak with her again. This time, she'll send you hunting for her Tattered Memento.
Where to Find Zoe's Tattered Memento in Palworld
After you speak to Zoe for the second time, she'll ask you to retrieve a Tattered Memento for her. This is nothing but a blanket, which you will find at the Fort Ruins in Palworld. This location is at the coordinates: (185, -381). After you've collected the memento, return to Zoe and give her the blanket.
When you do this, she'll finally agree to join your team. When you summon Zoe, she'll always come with a Grizzbolt and will help you explore the world and take on combatants in Palworld.
