Palworld Pal Essence Condenser: How to upgrade Partner Skills

How to level up Partner Skills in Palworld

To upgrade your Pals' Partner Skills, you'll need to build the Pal Essence Condenser, a machine unlocked in the Ancient Technology menu. The Pal Essence Condenser costs two Ancient Technology points to unlock; after that, you'll need 20 Paldium Fragments, 20 Ingots, and five Ancient Civilization Parts to construct it.

The Pal Essence Condenser allows you to combine multiple Pals of the same kind in order to strengthen one of them. The Pals that you combine are lost permanently, so be very selective about which ones you choose to sacrifice. The "base Pal" gains boosted stats, and their Partner Skill will increase by one level.

All Partner Skills can be upgraded regardless of their effect. For example, Cattiva's Partner Skill is Cat Helper, which at level 1 increases your carrying capacity by 50. For each level, you'll increase this number by 10. However, the more you strengthen a Pal in the Pal Essence Condenser, the more Pals you'll need to sacrifice, indicated by the number of stars next to the Pal's name in their details menu. The number of Pals you'll need for each level is as follows:

As you can see, maxing out your Pal's Partner Skill level is both expensive and time-consuming. In total, you'll need 116 Pals of the same species to combine in the Pal Essence Condenser. Before choosing your base Pal, consider their passive traits and their rarity in the wild. Once your Pal has four stars (or Partner Skill level 5), you won't be able to put them in the Pal Essence Condenser or raise their skill level any higher.
