The Medal Merchant has some great items you can purchase from him, such as Stat boosts and cosmetics. However, in order to get something from him, you first need to know where to get Dog Coins in Palworld.
How to find Dog Coins in Palworld
You can find Dog Coins in two ways. First, you can find them in the driftwood piles riddled across every island. These piles usually drop two or three great items, like Flamethrower Fuel, Legendary Spheres, etc. You'll often get Dog Coins after searching them and they are pretty much everywhere. Stop and search the piles as you are traveling around.
The second way to get Dog Coins is to locate Mimogs. These are Neutral Pals which look like chests from a distance. Even up close, you won't see their health bar until you attack them. Mimogs are extremely fast Pals, booking it as soon as they can to get away from you.
Take Mimogs out as soon as possible to avoid having to chase them down. I prefer killing them instead of catching them, since they aren't really great in a team or on base. Essentially, they are just great Pals to farm for materials, since they drop:
- Dog Coins
- Gold Coins
- Training Manual (XL)
Mimog's habitat is all over most of the islands (excluding the starter islands), so you can find it pretty much anywhere. I haven't managed to find a semi-permanent spawn for them, Mimogs just seem to appear randomly. Just look out for chests when doing other tasks. I'll usually find at least one Mimog in the Sakurajima Northern Beach area at -521,243.
Where to find the Medal Merchant in Palworld
Instead of regular coins, you will use Dog Coins to purchase items from the Medal Merchant. You can find him at the Marsh Island Church Ruins at 399, -274. Just teleport to the fast point and go inside the ruins to find him.
He is selling a bunch of good items like the Mysterious boxes (which increase your Accessory slots), Fruits (that increase your Pal's stats), and Elixirs (which increase your own stats). You can also get cool hats inspired by Pals, which I'm already saving up for.
