What is the release date for Paper Mario The Thousand Year Door HD?

Sadly, the closest thing to a release date we received for Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door HD was 2024. I've never wanted a game to be shadow-dropped harder during a Nintendo Direct, but sadly, we'll have to wait. There is no conclusive evidence, but I suspect a mid-year or holiday release to not compete with Super Mario RPG and Princess Peach: Showtime.

What platforms will Paper Mario The Thousand Year Door HD be on?

At the time of writing, Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door HD will be exclusive to Nintendo Switch. With its mysterious 2024 release, part of me suspects it may launch for the Nintendo Switch 2, but this is just speculation and hope. For now, you'll need the Nintendo Switch to play Paper Mario The Thousand Year Door HD.

Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door HD is a remake of the Gamecube title. At the time of writing, the only change we know about is the graphical enhancement. Whether or not gameplay elements have been changed remains to be seen, but we won't know this until more information is released. I am perfectly fine with upgraded graphics, as the gameplay, story, and world were basically perfect on the initial release.
