POE Atlas Keystone changes in Necropolis 3.24

Here are the newest Path of Exile Atlas Keystone changes in the Necropolis 3.24 expansion. For starters, The Seventh Gate, Growing Hordes, All Hands, Stream of Consciousness, Grand Design, and Wandering Path have all been removed. Some of these were among the best Atlas Keystones in 3.22. However, with the 3.24 changes, the developers want to encourage a variety in playstyle.

The Necropolis expansion comes with five new Atlas Keystones, two of which are exclusive to the Necropolis league.

Prospero's Wager

This is the first Keystone exclusive to the Necropolis league. When buried, Corpses with Unresolved Anguish will have the option for a Random Craft if you have selected Prospero's Wager. The advantage of this remains to be seen, but in the meantime, you can read more about Unresolved Anguish in our league preview.

Fear of the Light Atlas Keystone

The second Necropolis exclusive Atlas Keystone applies Haunted Modifiers randomly to Packs in your Maps, and there is a 25% chance that they will have an additional Haunted Modifier. This can work in your favor, as the more Haunted monsters you defeat in a previous area, the more likely it is for Devoted monsters to show up, which will give you simple rewards.

The Fear of Light Keystone also means that you can't find Embers of the Allflame (i.e. itemized packs of monsters).

Thorough Exploration Atlas Keystone

If you have fewer than 50 Monsters remaining in your Maps, then the Thorough Exploration Atlas Keystone will make it so that Affliction Wisps make the Final Map Bosses more powerful, and empowered monsters give more rewards. If you're not the boss rushing type, this is definitely the keystone for you.

Back to Basics Atlas Keystone

Back to Basics applies between zero and 80% more modifier Effect to your Maps. Additionally, Extra Content cannot appear on your Maps, which means no Abysses, Shrines, Expeditions, etc. With this Atlas Keystone chosen, you also can't apply Influence to your Maps. The idea here, of course, is to reward you for being lazy, and it sounds like it'll achieve that magnificently.

Unwavering Vision Atlas Keystone

This Atlas Keystone grants 20 Atlas Passive Skill Points, which you can use in the Atlas Tree. However, if you choose this option, you can't find any Scarabs in your Maps, nor can the Maps be modified by Fragments, with the exception of the Divine Vessel. This is aimed at sophisticated strategies that don't rely on frags or scarabs; I'm sure players will cook up all kinds of them as they did with Wandering Path, Grand Design, and so on.
