How to counter Lokix in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet

Lokix is primarily a threat due to its speed, high attack, and ability Tinted Lens. This lets it hit Pokémon, which would normally resist its attacks as if they were not resistant. The good news is that Lokix's coverage is pretty weak and has a low Special Defense and average Defense.

Talonflame, Pyroar, Volcarona, and Arcanine are all strong Fire-type Pokémon that outspeed Lokix. This allows them to go first, barring First Impression and Sucker Punch, and knock it out before it can act. We prefer Volcarona and Pyroar, as these Pokémon can take advantage of their low Special Defense.
