How to evolve Murkrow into Honchkrow in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet

There are few Dark and Flying-type Pokémon in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, but Murkrow and its evolution Honchkrow are a good choice. Honchkrow has a high HP, Attack, and Special Attack stat, making it a somewhat bulky sweeper. If you want to add Honchkrow to your party, you first need to get one. This may leave you wondering how to evolve Murkrow in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.

How to get Honchkrow in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet

To evolve Murkrow into Honchkrow in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, you must find a Dusk Stone. Murkrow cannot evolve by simply leveling up, only by using a Dusk Stone. Like the Dawn Stone, the Dusk Stone cannot be bought from the Delibird Presents store like other evolution stones. Instead, you will need to find one in the wild.

The best place to look for and find a Dusk Stone in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet is behind the Montenevera Gym or to the east of Cascarrafa. Go to the locations marked below and spot a Pokéball containing the Dusk Stone.

With the Dusk Stone in hand, you just need to use it on Murkrow to evolve it into Honchkrow. Press X to open your menu and place Murkrow in your party if it isn't there already. Select Bag and scroll to Other Items, the tab represented by the candy icon. Scroll to the Dusk Stone and select it, then use it on Murkrow.
