How to evolve Sneasel into Weavile in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet

Fill in every Pokédex entry.

Sneasel is a dual-type Pokémon encompassing both dark and ice types. They were introduced in the second generation alongside their cat-like evolution, Weavile. The two were so popular that they made their return in Pokémon: Legends Arceus with a new form as well as a new evolution, Sneasler. The famous pair make their appearance again in the latest Pokémon Scarlet & Violet alongside other Paldean Pokémon.

Once you find your very own Sneasel as you explore the Glaseado Mountain region, you'll most likely want to immediately evolve it into Weavile. So, how exactly can you evolve Sneasel into Weavil in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet?

How to get Weavile in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet

Similar to Pokémon: Legends Arceus, Sneasel can evolve into Weavile after holding onto a Razor Claw while leveling up at night. The easiest way to find a Razor Claw is by picking one up at a Delibird Presents store for either 15,000 Pokédollars or LP. You can find these stores in most major cities such as Mesagoza. After you get one, you just need to give it to Sneasel to hold. Then, the moment you level up your Sneasel at night, a cutscene will appear in which it will evolve into a Weavile. At that point, the Razor Claw will have been used up. But, you'll have a new Pokémon to add to your party and your Pokédex!

If you don't have much luck either finding a Sneasel or a Razor Claw, you can always try your luck in catching a Weavile in the wild! They aren't as abundant as Sneasel, but you can still find a few also in the Glaseado Mountain region. Searching for them like this might be the best option for those who are looking for the perfect nature for their Weavile.
