Paldean Wooper can easily be missed, as it typically only spawns near water in the beginning areas of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. Searcing the southern end of Paldea will be your best bet for finding this Poison and Ground-type Pokémon. We found ours in the South Province, Area 1, next to a pond.

What does Paldean Wooper evolve into in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet?

Paldean Wooper evolves into Clodsire, not Paldean Quaqsire like you might expect. It will evolve at level 20, giving you early access to an incredibly bulky Pokémon. Clodsire retains its Poison and Ground-type, and features an incredibly high HP and Special Defense.

Combine this with the right nature, and Clodsire can be a powerful special wall. Its bulk and Poison-type also make it an excellent stall Pokémon. Just be mindful of its lower defense when taking on physical attackers.
