Is there a move rememberer in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet?

Forget something important?

The Pokémon series is full of Pokémon, each one learning different moves as they level up. Pokémon Scarlet and Violet add many new Pokémon and moves to experiment with. Previous titles in the series featured NPCs like the move tutor and move rememberer that let you change up your move set. This may leave you wondering if there is a move rememberer in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.

Technically, no NPC in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet will let your Pokémon relearn moves they have forgotten. But you can reteach your Pokémon moves by remembering them. This will formerly be done by the move rememberer, but now you can simply do this any time you wish.

How to remember moves in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet

Remembering moves in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet can be done at any time by going to your menu. This lets your Pokémon regain moves you previously deleted for others or moves it learned before you caught it. Here is how to use the remember moves feature in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.

  • Press X to open your menu.
  • Select the Pokémon.
  • Click Check Summary.
  • Scroll to the second tab.
  • Press A.
  • Select Remember moves.

Keep in mind that your Pokémon can only know four moves at one time, so if you remember a move while you have the max number, you will first need to delete one. Fortunately, you can use the remember moves feature to relearn a move if you accidentally delete the wrong one. This is a great way to change up your Pokémon's move set, especially before a tough fight.
