What is Population Bomb in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet?

You'll have to fight the whole family.

Pokémon Scarlet and Violet introduce many new features in its Paldea region. This includes Pokémon, abilities, moves, and more. One move that is rare but quite powerful is Population Bomb. This may leave you wondering what Population Bomb does and how to get it in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.

What does Population Bomb do in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet?

Population Bomb is a Normal-type move in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. It has a base power of 20 and an accuracy of 90. Population becomes deadly because it can strike the opponent between 1 and 10 times, allowing it to possibly have a base power of 200. This is even more powerful if used by a Normal-type Pokémon, as it will gain a bonus from stab.

The held item, Loaded Dice, will increase the number of times a multi-hit move, like Population Bomb, hit more times. This will increase the move's power and make it a must for any Pokémon that uses Population Bomb. However, there are not many Pokémon that actually learn this move.

What Pokemon learn Population Bomb in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet?

Currently, only two Pokémon in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet learn Population Bomb. This is Tandemaus and its evolution Maushold. Tandemaus learns the move at level 46, while Maushold will learn it at level 53.

If you intend to use Maushold and Population Bomb, we recommend getting the hidden abilityTechnician, as it will increase the move's power even further. Combining this, Maushold's Normal-type stab bonus and the Loaded Dice held item would make Population Bomb an incredible move. Make sure to pick up a nature that increases Maushold's Attack for more power.
