What is Pokémon Odyssey?
Pokémon Odyssey is a ROM hack of Pokémon Fire Red that focuses more on dungeon crawling. The creator, PacoScarso_ and TeamEchoes, lists the Pokémon series, Made in Abyss, and Etrian Odyssey as inspirations for the ROM. You play as Nyx, an adventure that descends into a mysterious labyrinth.
Players can expect a new story and region, a focus on double battles, rebalancing of Pokémon, mining, gathering, and a new quest system. There are also no gym leaders or Elite 4 that normal Pokémon games have. Instead, players are encouraged to explore and discover the secrets of the Yggdrasil Labyrinth.
