Should you stop the hanged man burning in Remnant 2?

As I explored the Losomn area in Remnant 2, I encountered numerous enemies, puzzles, quests, and choices, such as killing Faerin or Faelin. Another choice I encountered was in the Butcher's Quarters, where I stumbled upon a crowd about to burn a man alive. I had to decide whether to intervene and save the man or allow the crowd to burn him alive. You may be wondering which option you should take.

Ultimately, whether you save the hanged man from burning depends on which item you want, not your moral compass. If you stop the burning, you will be rewarded with the Shadeskin Trait and the Dran Memento Ring. Allowing the hanged man to be burnt or failing to stop the burning will grant you the Shadeskin Trait and the Singed Ring.

The Singed Ring is good for builds that utilize fire, while the Dran Memento Ring is good for most builds. Either decision will reward you with the Shadeskin Trait, so the rings are the deciding factor. That said, saving the hanged man from burning is the harder choice. If the hanged man is burnt, leave the area and return. Kill the pig eating the man's corpse to collect the Singed Ring.

How to save the hanged man from Burning in Remnant 2

You must stop the crowd of Dran from burning the hanged man. Specifically, it is the Dran carrying torches you must watch out for. They will try to light the pyre and, if successful, the hanged man will be burnt alive and you will get the Singed Ring. You need to be wary, though, as swarms of enemies will try and kill you. If you are successful, you will be rewarded with the Dran Memento Ring.
