Rise of the Ronin is not only about choosing the best weapons but also choosing the right partner to make a Veiled Vow with. To romance Princess Atsuko, you need to increase your Favor level with her, and there are several ways to do that. You can do Bond Missions that are directly associated with Princess Atsuko, give her Gifts, or raise your Bond level with Positive Discussion. Once you raise your Bond level enough, you two can engage in a relationship by making a Veiled Vow.

Princess Atsuko Bond Missions in Rise of the Ronin

You can raise Princess Atsuko's Bond level by finishing the main story missions and doing special Bond Missions for her only. There are two Bond Missions for Princess Atsuko, and you can unlock them after completing specific main storyline missions. After you finish Reinventing the Shogunate main mission, you will unlock the Ideals and Reality Bond Mission with Atsuko. Also, you'll unlock The Road to Resolution Bond Mission by finishing the Main Story mission called Patriots' Reward.

Best Gifts for Princess Atsuko in Rise of the Ronin

The cat-loving princess is an avid fan of Edo Cosmetics and plants, so your choice of Gifts for her boils down to two items: Face Powder and Brush and Yew Koboku. The hard part is obtaining these items, as they're hard to come by. Some of them you can get by playing through the main missions, but you can also buy Face Powder and Brush from a Trader in Sakura Inn.

Best Answers for Princess Atsuko in Rise of the Ronin

After finishing the first Bond Mission, Princess Atsuko will initiate the conversation by stating that the two of you have like minds about wanting to talk to each other. Atsuko asks you about your quiet nature, and you have three answers to choose from. Any choice will raise your level of Favor, so pick an answer that you see fit. As for her second question, Princess Atsuko will ask you if you are a cat or a dog person. Again, each answer will raise the Bond level equally so that you can choose both, either or none.

For the second Positive Discussion with Atsuko, you need to complete the Kaishi Katsu Bond Mission first. This time, you start the conversation with Princess Atsuko. She starts to talk about politics, but soon she changes the topic and asks you if you like sweets. The best option is to say you love them, as it will raise the Bond level the most. Other options are "I don't care for them" and "I'll eat them if they're there." Both of these answers will increase your Bond level with Atsuko, but not as much as stating you love sweets.
