The Pool Noodle Rod and Creamsicle Rod are two event-exclusive fishing rods available during Fischfest in Fisch. To obtain the former, enter the Fischfest area via the giant oyster shell in Moosewood. Once inside, head left along the beach until you reach a dock with a small wooden hut. The rod can be purchased there for 1,000 Sunshells. As for the Creamsicle Rod, it is sold by the Sunshell Merchant in Coconut Town, which can be reached by crossing the stone bridge towards the upper section of the Fischfest island. This rod costs 6,500 Sunshells. Additionally, both of these rods offer a 15-25% chance of applying unique mutations to the fish you manage to snag with them.
The Pool Noodle and Creamsicle rods have been added to Fisch as part of the Fischfest limited summer event. Since the event will not last long, we have created this guide to help you on your quest to obtain them. Fishing with them will also allow you to obtain some unique mutations, so make sure to check out exactly how to get them!
How to Unlock the Pool Noodle Rod in Fisch

To obtain the Pool Noodle rod in Fisch, you will first have to travel through a giant pink oyster shell with the caption "Fischfest" above it. It is located in the Moosewood spawn island, close to the docks, so it should be hard to miss. Once you have arrived, immediately turn towards your left side and keep going along the beach until you have reached a dock with a small wooden hut next to it. The rod itself will be sitting underneath its roof, so you can go ahead and buy it.
Another easy way to reach this location is to use its exact coordinates, which you can check with the GPS tracker item. They are as follows:
- X: - 23986
- Y: 2593
- Z: - 4320
Since the rod itself will require a certain amount of Sunshells, which is the main event currency, you can also talk to the NPC with the blue shirt who is also standing nearby, and he will give you a quest for which a certain amount of Sunshells will be given out as a reward once you complete it.
Pool Noodle Rod Stats in Fisch

The Pool Noodle Rod costs 1000 Sunshells and offers the following stats: Luck: 60%, Lure Speed: 60%, Control: 0.05, Resilience: 10%, and a max weight capacity of 1,200 kg. On top of that, it also offers an innate 15% chance of applying the Splashed mutation to any fish that you catch with it, making them worth significantly more money than their standard counterparts.
This rod will be most useful for newer players, since the sunshells required can easily be obtained, and the rod itself is way better than anything you can acquire for a similar amount of effort. However, we do not recommend that veterans use it, as it falls off easily, especially against weapons like the Verdant Oath Rod or the Plaguereaver Rod.
How to Unlock the Creamsicle Rod in Fisch

The Creamsicle Rod in Fisch is sold by the Sunshell Merchant, who is located inside Coconut Town. To gain access to this town, you will again have to travel through the "Fischfest" oyster located near the docks in Moosewood. Once the event island has been reached, travel to its upper part by taking the stone bridge located roughly in its center. The Coconut Town is situated right at the end of it, with the Sunshell Merchant tag being visible from practically anywhere on the map, so it should not be too difficult to reach.
You can also reach this location by following the exact coordinates, which you can check using the GPS tracker item. They are as follows:
- X: - 24498
- Y: 2647
- Z: - 4423
Creamsicle Rod Stats in Fisch

The Creamsicle Rod in Fisch costs 6500 Sunshells, while offering the following stats: Luck: 120%, Lure Speed: 75%, Control: 0.05, Resilience: 10%, and a max weight capacity of 3000 kg. Additionally, fish caught with this rod have a 25% chance of being afflicted with the Creamsicle mutation, which will make them 5x more valuable than if they were without it. Furthermore, when you take a long time to catch a fish, it will slowly begin to freeze, and once this process is complete, you are guaranteed a Creamsicle mutated fish if you manage to complete the catch.
This means that you might want to intentionally avoid trying to catch a fish perfectly, but rather take your time when doing so, in order to allow the passive to kick in. This will be the most viable way of using this rod, since the other stats leave a lot to be desired when you factor in how much time it will take to grind out the necessary Sunshells for it. A max KG of only 3000 kg will force you to sell what you catch often to keep going.
