All Cursed Technique Requirements & Trainer Locations in Heian

Getting a CT (Cursed Technique) in Heian usually requires you to fulfill some requirements (Grade, clan, items, etc.), do some quests, and finally, talk to the teacher of that CT. In this guide, we will cover all the requirements and teacher locations, explaining in detail how to get every Cursed Technique in Heian. Scroll down, and let's get started!

How to Get Every Cursed Technique in Heian

IMPORTANT: The CTs are listed in order of difficulty of their obtainment and based on their areas (Vashe Wilds → Vashe Tundra → Fujin Mountain → Overgrown Valley → Spirit Oasis). The teachers in the same area usually have similar routes, so check the details for other CTs in the same area for extra information.

Heian Map

There are five major areas in Heian, and each hosts a few Cursed Technique teachers. You can skip most of the map if you already know which CT you're going for, though exploring everything and locating all the Rune Stones will help you in the long run. Here are all the major areas and the CT teachers that they host:

• Vashe Wilds: The starting area. Kirisaki Village (beginner village) is where the Ratio trainer is. Auspicious Beasts trainer is on top of the mountain in the middle of the Vashe Wilds and past the Vasha Center Stone. Sword Saint teacher is in the northeast corner of Vasha Wilds, inside Nagano Village.
• Vashe Tundra: There are no CT teachers in the Tundra. However, you have to go through it to reach Fujin Mountain. For reference, the Tundra Calamity is on the opposite end of the snowy zone (bottom left corner) compared to the Fujin Mountain.
• Fujin Mountain: Just go in the opposite direction from the Tundra Calamity and stick to the right side. You'll find a pond with a tunnel at the end of it leading to Fujin Mountain. Ice Formation trainer is just to the left once you climb up. Limitless and MBA teachers are further up the mountain. Limitless is in the top left corner, and MBA is in the top right corner of Fujin.
• Overgrown Valley: There are four CT teachers in the Valley. The Projection trainer is in the Zenin Residence in the bottom left corner of the map. The CED teacher is in the middle right part, in the tree village way above ground level. The Shrine teacher is in the Light Cave to the left of the Zenin stone (stick to the left side, and you can't miss the cave). Blood Manipulation teacher is on the left side, above and further away than the Light Cave. There are waterfalls hiding the cave.
• Spirit Oasis: Only the Blazing Courage teacher is in the Oasis. He is inside Taira Castle, in the bottom right part of the map.

Grade 2 Sorcerer Requirement for CT

All Cursed Techniques in Heian require you to be a Grade 2 Sorcerer before you can get them. You can reach Grade 2 the fastest by farming Calamities (Tundra is the easiest), though doing quests, killing minibosses, and other activities will get you there eventually. Ratio Technique

To learn the Ratio Cursed Technique in Heian, you'll need to go to the Kirisaki Village (starting village) and talk to Kenshi behind the house on a hill to the left of the village exit. After that, you'll need to fulfill these requirements (talk to him after completing the quests to get the CT):

• Quest 1: Exterminate 5 weak Cursed Spirits.
• Quest 2: Defeat 1 Brute, 1 Frozen Brute, and 1 Kuchisake.
  • Brutes spawn in the Vashe Wilds. They look like blocky/rocky monsters.
  • Frozen Brutes spawn in the Vashe Tundra.
  • Kuchisaki spawns in the Vashe Tundra. You can accept the Exterminate Kuchisake quest to spawn it close to you.

Auspicious Beasts

To learn the Auspicious Beasts Cursed Technique, you'll need to talk to Inu on top of a mountain directly in front of the Vashe Center Stone and deeper into the Vashe Wilds. To reach the stone, just go in a straight line forward from the starting village.

Then, continue forward and climb the right side of the mountain to reach Inu quickly. Once you talk to him, you'll have two ways to fulfill his requirements and obtain Auspicious Beasts:

• Option 1: Pay him 20K Yon.
• Option 2: Pay 3K Yon and 10 Gold.

Sword Saint

To learn the Sword Saint Cursed Technique in Heian, you'll first need to reach the Nagano VIllage in the top right corner of the Vashe Wilds. In the first house on the left after you enter the village through the gate will be Tomoe.

Talk to Tomoe and repeatedly ask him to tell you a story. Do it enough times, and he will give you a quest to find 4 swords scattered around the map. Talk to him after collecting the swords to learn the CT. The sword locations are as follows (check the video below for more details):

• Vashe Wilds: In the cave on the right just outside Kirisaki Village (starter village).
• Fujin Mountain: Down the stairs, at the end of the Temple of the Forgotten Hero.
• Overgrowth Valley: Inside the biggest house at the Zenin Residence.
• Spirit Oasis: On the underground levels of the area, close to the Oasis Calamity.

Ice Formation

To get the Ice Formation Cursed Technique in Heian, first, make your wave to the Vashe Tundra. Then, follow the path from the Tundra stone as indicated in the image above. Stick to the right side, and eventually, you'll reach a pond with a tunnel leading up towards the Fujin Mountain at the end of the pond.

Once you climb the tunel, the Temple Stone will be right in front of you and the Ice Formation NPC will be on a small platform on the left with ice sticking out of it. Talk to Kori and he will give you two quests to complete (talk to him after finishing the tasks to get the CT):

• Quest 1: Exterminate the Vashe Tundra Calamity (Tengu).
• Quest 2: Harvest a Blue Rose and bring it to him.
  • You can find Blue Roses at the top of Fujin Mountain, close to the MBA trainer.

Mythical Beast Amber

To get the Mythical Beast Amber (MBA) Cursed Technique in Heian, you'll first need to find Rakurai on top of Fujin Mountain. To reach him, follow the path up straight across from the Ice Formation teacher. It's adjacent to the path toward the Temple of the Forgotten Hero.

Once you've climbed up, go towards the ledge and continue straight ahead into Fujin Mountain. Stick to the middle, and once you start seeing more ice on the left (just past a small temple), turn a bit left and head straight up the mountain. You'll see a bunch of stair-like stones; just follow them.

Right above a stone warrior statue and to the right will be the Mythical Beast Amber teacher. By following the path to the left of him, you'll reach the parkour course needed to fulfill one of the requirements. Once you've completed them, talk to Rakurai again to get MBA. Here are the requirements:

• Quest 1: Complete the parkour course and reach the top of the mountain (check the video below for more info). Then, wait for you to get struck by a lightning. Talk to him again afterward.
• Quest 2: Kill a player who is Grade 2 or above. You can easily do this on an AFK player or with a friend.

Limitless

To learn the Limitless Cursed Technique in Heian, you'll need to talk to Gojo Sasaki in the Vashe Tundra. To reach him, follow the path to the left of the MBA teacher, as indicated in the image above. You'll find a bridge and a Rune Stone beyond it.

Follow the path behind the Rune Stone and a bit to the right to reach a ravine. Go down and follow the path to the right to reach the hidden village. Gojo Sasaki will be in the big building on the right. Talk to him to get the CT. Here are the requirements:

• Clan: You have to be a Gojo or Michizane clan member.
  • Michizane: If you are Michizane, you'll also need to turn in a Kanju Jewel. It often spawns in the chest after you kill Tengu (Tundra Calamity).
• RCT (Reverse Cursed Technique): You'll need to have Reverse Cursed Technique for Limitless.
• Star Vessel: You'll need to kill the Fujin Mountain Calamity to get the NPC to spawn in the Calamity area. Talk to the NPC and exhaust dialogue to fulfill the requirement.
  • Fujin Calamity: Go up the cliffs past the Temple of the Forgotten Hero and stick to the right side. Follow the tunnels to reach the Fujin Calamity area. Click C + X to see the Calamity location (check the video below for more details).

Projection Sorcery

To learn the Projection Sorcery Cursed Technique, you'll need to talk to Senju at the Zenin Residence in the bottom right part of the Overgrown Valley. He spawns only after you've completed one of the random cart/transportation events that spawn in the Overgrown Valley (taking a Transport Interception mission might work, too). There are no requirements for Projection besides being Grade 2, so just talk to the NPC to obtain it.

Cursed Energy Discharge

To learn the Cursed Energy Discharge Cursed Technique in Heian, you'll need to reach the Heights section of the Overgrown Valley and talk to Ryuen. The path towards the Heights is straight ahead from the Zenin Residence and up.

Just climb the tree shown in the image above. Then, go just a few steps to the right, and you'll see a temple gate and, behind it, a rope. Climb the rope to reach the Heights area. Make sure to hold Space once you are at the end of the rope to not fall down.

Go across the bridges at the Heights to find the Rune Stone. In the house just behind the Rune Stone will be Ryuen. Talk to him to obtain CED (Cursed Energy Discharge). The only requirement for CED is to have 60+ points in Cursed Output.

Shrine

The first part of obtaining the Shrine Cursed Technique in Heian is to get a Cursed Embryo, which drops from Tengu (Tundra Calamity; drops under the body and not from the chest). Once you have one, talk to the merchant at the Kirisaki Village (starter village) and ask him about the purpose of the Cursed Embryo.

He will tell you to visit Kenny at the Light Cave in the Overgrown Valley. You can find the cave by going left from the Zenin Stone and sticking to the side of the mountain. At some point, not far down the road, you'll find a hole in the mountain leading down. That's the entrance to the Light Cave.

Inside the cave, go towards the Rune Stone, and behind it, there is another hole where Kenny's lab is. Talk to Kenny, and he will turn the Cursed Embryo into a Cursed Finger. You will then need to use the Cursed Finger to eat it and learn Shrine, but before that, make sure to have at least 64 unused Stat Points. After you've eaten the finger, you'll be teleported and have to do the following:

IMPORTANT: Before you eat the finger, make sure to have at least 64 unused Stat Points. Reset your stats (use a Dawn Parchment; drops from Tengu and other bosses/minibosses) if needed. If you don't, you won't be able to unlock all the moves and you'll need to reset your stats, and get and use another Cursed Finger later.

1. Talk to the red orb in the middle to start the Shrine boss fight.
2. Defeat the boss and grip it to learn Shrine.
3. Allocate Skill Points into Shrine so that you have 65 Shrine.
4. Talk to the orb again and select dialogue to learn all the Shrine moves.
5. Talk to the orb one last time and choose I want to leave to complete the process.

Blood Manipulation

To get the Blood Manipulation Cursed Technique in Heian, you'll need to talk to Aima in the left part of the Overgrown Valley. To reach their location, just climb one of the trees that connect to the mountains on the left side and follow the left wall of the area.

At some point, you'll reach a giant waterfall with a lake. Enter the waterfall, and on the left side, you'll see a hole in the wall. Enter the hole to find Aima and talk to them to start the questline. These are the requirements (talk to them again after finishing the steps to get the CT):

• Step 1: Give Mushrooms to Aima to increase their trust.
• Step 2: Exterminate 3 Grade 2 or above players.

Blazing Courage

To get the Blazing Courage Cursed Technique in Heian, you'll need to talk to the Toyotomi NPC at the Taira Castle within the Spirit Oasis (bottom right part of the map). Here is the whole process for obtaining Blazing Courage:

• Step 1: You'll need to grab a piece of ash from the pile nearby and jump through the flames into the main castle building.
• Step 2: Talk to Toyotomi, and he will tell you that to get his technique, you'll have to deal with the enemies outside the castle (5 Fujiwaras, 1 Vice Captain, 1 Captain).
• Step 3: Talk to him once again after you've killed them all. He will then challenge you to a fight to obtain the technique. The fight is pretty easy.
