All Star Tower Defense X Units Tier List (In-Depth Version)
To help you better understand the summary of our All Star Tower Defense X tier list above, we prepared this breakdown section. Below, you'll find explanations for the criteria we used to rank each unit. Further down is a list of all units in ASTD X, including their details (targeting type, element, rarity, passive abilities) and pros and cons, categorized by their ranking in the tier list.
ASTD X Tier List Ranking Factors Explained
- Stats (DPS, Range, SPA): Stats are the most important thing for every DPS unit in All Star Tower Defense X, and the higher they are overall, the better that unit is. For support/utility units, stats aren't as important as their abilities.
- Targeting and Attack Type: Hill units can attack flying enemies, which you'll need for some maps. Also, Hill units have limited placement options, which can hinder their uptime and total DPS. The type of the unit's attack (Full AoE, Line, Cone, etc.) also affects the unit's ability to deal with multiple enemies.
- Passives and Abilities: Some units have strong passive or active abilities that increase their power substantially.
- Utility and CC: Support units are invaluable in ASTD X as they can generate money, CC enemies, buff your other units, and provide other forms of value. It's important to have a few in your team.
- Evolution Potential: Some lower-rarity units can evolve into higher-rarity ones, making them extra worth getting.
- Element: The unit's element affects which enemies are going to take increased or lowered damage from the unit's attacks. This is especially important for exclusive game modes.
- Teaming: Some units can combine with others and make a stronger unit. These units are especially good if you still don't have ascended 5★ units to fill out your squad.

What are the best beginner units in All Star Tower Defense X?

Should you use support units in All Star Tower Defense X?
Yes, you should use support units, though do not use 3★ and other weak ones if you have 5★/4★ supports. More DPS is always better, especially on more difficult stages.
Are lower-star teams better than higher-star units in ASTDX?
Usually, lower-star teams are worse than higher-star units. The only exceptions are when the team has a utility (such as stun, slow, burn, etc.). Generally, it's always cheaper and better to use the highest-star units you have.

How to Summon Units in All Star Tower Defense X

To summon units in the All Star Tower Defense X Roblox experience, click on the Summon button on the left side of your screen. You will then be teleported to the Summon area and presented with the banners. There are multiple banners, each rotating every 60 minutes. 10x Summons are more worth it, so don't do 1x summons.
