Anime Expeditions Update 1.0 is here! Called Warriors Saga, the new update is all about Dragon Ball Z. There are five new units (Trunks, Vegeta, Carrot, Cell, and Gohan), a new storyline, a new expedition map, and much more! Read on to learn everything that's new.
Update 1 Patch Notes – Warriors Saga
Anime Expeditions Update 1, Warriors Saga, is easily the game’s biggest content drop since launch. The patch adds six new units, a new Tower mode, East Town story content, a fresh Expedition map, Auto Play, 11 update events, new equipment, cosmetics, and more. More importantly, it gives both progression-focused players and endgame grinders several new things to chase instead of simply repeating the launch loop.
New Units and East Town
Six units join the Anime Expeditions roster in Update 1:
- Prodigy (Rage)
- Cubert
- Bioinsect (Final Form)
- Carrot (Unleashed)
- The Drink (Juicebox)
- Vegetable (Prince)
East Town is also available as a new Story, Infinite, and Mastery map. It includes two new Quest NPCs, and completing the new NPC questline leads to a new Secret unit. The Featured Gamemode panel specifically lists Prodigy (Rage) as the Secret Unit Story Reward, so East Town should be one of the first stops for collectors.

Tower, Expeditions, and Auto Play
The new Tower game mode brings endless floors with random resistances, plus both Traits and Traitless modes. It also introduces an exclusive seasonal unit and milestone rewards, alongside seasonal leaderboards for Shiny units, skins, and titles.
Expeditions received a sizable expansion as well. West City Expedition is the new map, joined by a new Encounter node type, new building materials and upgrades, a Payload Skin feature, and a refreshed M.A.S.T.R.R. event.
For anyone tired of manually setting up routine farms, Auto Play may be the best quality-of-life addition here. It can automatically place units, supports general and per-slot settings, and lets you save and load presets.

There are 11 events in the update rotation. Dragon’s Wish offers daily quests and rewards, an exclusive Wish Dragon mount, and freebies including an Unbound Trait and Event Coins. Boss Bounty rolls randomized daily bosses with changing stages, difficulty, resistances, and modifiers, while Gold can be spent to reroll for better rewards. Guess That Unit! is a daily Normal/Hard minigame rewarding Event Coins.

New Equipment, Skins, Mounts, and More
Six equipment pieces were added: Carrot’s Gi, Mechanical Wings, Mentor’s Cape, Pointy Straw, Royal Gi, and Warrior Pole.
There are also nine new skins: Ballin’ Bioinsect, Ballin’ Carrot, Ballin’ Drink, Ballin’ Prodigy, Ballin’ Vegetable, Bioinsect (Mecha), Prodigy (Manga), The Strongest, and Miner.
Finally, Update 1 adds two mounts (Fierce Dragon and Space Car), three emotes (Cape Pose, Dunk Emote, and Transformation), plus the Angel Wings accessory.
Between Tower, East Town, West City Expedition, the event rotation, and Auto Play, Warriors Saga feels less like a small first update and more like Anime Expeditions filling out the systems that were still a little thin at launch. The real grind now is deciding which shiny new reward to chase first.
