When it comes to Gauntlets in The Forge, there are three variations: the Relevator, the Boxing Gloves, and the Ironhand Gauntlets. Although the Relevator has the highest single-hit damage (9.6 base pre-multiplier), it doesn’t actually offer the best DPS. That honor goes to the Ironhand Gauntlets, which lead the category with a solid 15.20 base DPS.
Thus, even though they’re the most common variant, they’re still the best Gauntlets in the game. That works out great, since they’re also very easy to obtain. Exactly the same as with Katanas and Swords, because these are objectively the best Runes in The Forge. Specifically, we're talking about the Blast Chip and the Drain Edge. The Blast Chip creates an explosion that deals a percentage of your weapon damage as AoE around the target you hit, making it perfect for clearing groups of smaller enemies. The Drain Edge, meanwhile, provides a lifesteal effect. It is one of the few reliable sources of sustainability in the entire game.
