Each type of tool has its own pros and cons. Some offer better speed while others are more powerful. You also have to consider factors like cooldowns and how the tools perform in combat.

1. MXplr. Pickaxe Tier-2

The MXplr. Pickaxe Tier-2 is the best Pickaxe in Abyss Miner right now for mid to late game content. It offers the most power while matching the speed and cooldown of the much lighter Pickaxes like the Silver and Xplr. Pickaxe.

Apart from making mining easier and quicker, this also makes light work of defeating the various creatures that you encounter as you go deeper.

2. Chasm Smasher

The Chasm Smasher is a Heavy Pickaxe and the most powerful out of all the Pickaxes and Heavy Pickaxes. You can clear full caves of all materials in seconds with the 375 per second power output of the Chasm Smasher, almost matching the power output of the best drill in the game.

3. Spiral Drill of Abyss

The Spiral Drill of Abyss is the ultimate mining tool in Abyss Miner. Little to no cooldown, rapid digging speed, and the highest power output makes this drill the best tool to have in Abyss Miner. Naturally, it's also the hardest to obtain as it's not cheap.

How To Get All Equipment in Abyss Miner

There are four different types of equipment that you can purchase and use in Abyss Miner - Backpacks, Gloves, Helmets, and Boots. Backpacks are for storing inventory, Gloves improve your speed and stamina, Helmets have flash lights that light up dark areas, and Boots help reduce your fall damage. Here's how to get all of them:

Below is the best equipment that are simply a must-have if you want to explore, survive, and succeed in Abyss Miner.

1. Xplr. Glove

You want to get a glove as soon as possible so you can start climbing up and down the walls. But, the best glove in the game is the Xplr. Glove that uses only 2 stamina for every 5 seconds you climb. Plus, it is the quickest glove in the game right now so if you want to speed run through layers with plenty of inventory in your back pack, this is the only glove you need.

2. Rope Gripper

Much like gloves, a Rope Gripper is another must have equipment. It will help you traverse the various layers and level of the Abyss using ropes instead of having to pay for the elevator. Plus, in some area, where you don't have an elevator, a rope gripper is your only bet for making it back to the surface without losing all your stuff.

3. Orange Hat

To safely explore the deepest and darkest caves of Abyss Miner, you need the Orange Hat and its Level 3 flash light. You can start with the Standard hat and then upgrade directly to the Orange Hat from the Magma Cave Shop and skip the Fur Hat.

4. Backpack - 500Kg

The 500Kg backpack is the best option because it can hold plenty of inventory and does not eat up too much of your stamina when you have to go up and down using ropes. A 1000K backpack will significantly slow you down and you'll possibly fall to your death before making it to the surface, losing all your valuables in the process.

5. Leather and Hardened Steel Boots

Get both the boots and equip the one that best suits the scenario. Leather Boots are necessary because they reduce fall damage and can often prevent accidental fall death. Also, they let you make some jumps and access a few areas without worrying about death.

Hardened Steel Boots are specifically made for the Magma Cave area. These protect you from burning down and allow you to freely explore the Magma Cave without slowing down. You can delay the purchase of Hardened Steel Boots until you want to explore the Magma Cave but the Leather Boots should be purchased as soon as possible so you can safely explore the deeper layers and take a few risks.
