What Is the Best Sub Ability in Bizarre Lineage
Right now, the best Sub Ability in Bizarre Lineage is the Vampire. Keep in mind that this is rather subjective, because, IMHO, all sub-abilities are currently quite viable; it comes down to your preferred playstyle, really. As someone who values sustainability and survival, I rank the Vampire Sub Ability above others. If you're interested in my full thoughts about every Sub Ability, check out the in-depth evaluation below.
| Sub Ability | Evaluation |
|---|---|
![]() Vampire | Pros: • Leeching Terror is insanely good right now. It is a lifesteal ability that immobilizes your opponents while dealing significant damage and healing you. It's a 3-in-1 combo that works as a short CC, healing, and damage-dealing skill. • Flash Freeze is probably the best crowd control ability in the game. • With this Sub Ability class, your character will basically refuse to die, as every single passive makes your HP regeneration better. Cons: • Great CC and healing come at the cost of somewhat weaker damage-dealing capabilities (though this is negligible). • Both other currently available sub-abilities deal more damage to Vampires by design, acting as soft counters. |
![]() The Ripple (Hamon) | Pros: • Sunlight Yellow Overdrive has great combo potential and is an excellent counter to Vampires, especially if you use the vulnerability window effectively. • The moveset comes with a lot of crowd control, from stuns to displacements. When combined with the vulnerability applied by all abilities, you can delete your opponents from existence before they even have a chance to react. • All abilities deal a massive amount of damage. Cons: • Lacks sustainability, and the whole class seems to be designed around countering Vampires. While that’s strong right now, it may become too niche down the line if new sub-abilities are added to the game. |
![]() Half-Human Half-Machine (Cyborg) | Pros: • All of his abilities stun opponents if they land properly. • The two ranged abilities work well as finishers and as a supplement to more melee-oriented Stands. Cons: • Both Missile Volley and Machine Gun are heavily telegraphed, making them somewhat easy to dodge, especially in PvP. • While reliable and fast, this moveset feels underwhelming compared to Vampire and The Ripple. |
