Mutations change the appearance of your crops and apply a powerful income multiplier that can turn a decent harvest into a massive payday. Build a Ring Farm Mutations - Multipliers & How to Get
There are currently 11 mutations in Build a Ring Farm that your plants can get. Each one adds a unique visual effect to your crop and applies an income multiplier to boost your harvest value. The table below lists every mutation, the money multiplier it applies, and all the ways you can get it on your plants. Mutations from weather events apply randomly to fully grown crops on your farm during the event window — you must be online and in the game for the chance to trigger.

Build a Ring Farm FAQs
Right now, Cosmic is the best standard mutation in Build a Ring Farm. It applies an 8x income multiplier and is spray-only — it cannot be obtained through weather events. Cosmic Spray can be purchased from the Gear Shop for $25T Cash (limited stock) or from the Plant Rush Shop for 25,000 Plant Tokens, and can also drop from the Plant Rush boss. Honeycomb (6.5x) is the best event-based mutation but has only a 0.5% chance during the Queen Bee Event.
No, mutations will not apply to your plants if you're offline. You must be in the game during the events to activate the chance of mutations applying to your plants.
In most cases, no — a plant can only hold one mutation at a time. If a plant catches any mutation during an event, it won't catch another one unless you remove the current mutation first. However, there is one exception: the Starfall mutation, applied by the Starfall Griffin pet, is the only mutation in the game that stacks with other mutations. So a crop can have one standard mutation (such as Cosmic or Rainbow) and also carry the Starfall mutation on top of it, combining both multipliers.
You can remove mutations from your plants in Build a Ring Farm using the Acid Spray that you can buy from the Gear Shop for $1M. Acid Spray can also drop as a reward from the Trucker Event.
