With the holiday season still ongoing, the hardworking developers of Plants vs Brainrots have released the New Year Event! This Event works like a combination of several smaller events. This is yet another great chance to stock up on some of the fantastic rewards the event offers, which will surely help you make some long-term improvements to your base. New Year Balldrop Event - New Year Event
To kick things off nice and simple, we have the New Year Balldrop Event. It is located on the center island, opposite to the teleportation portal. It is represented by a giant pillar with a ball on top of it, so it should be difficult to miss. Essentially, this is just a countdown to the New Year, automatically adjusted for the exact time zone you are in. As the countdown progresses, the aforementioned ball will keep sliding down the pillar until it falls to the ground exactly at midnight on New Year's Eve. Once that happens, a single ultra-rare Brainrot will spawn for you, and it is called Del Blingo 2026.
While not much is known about this Brainrot at the moment, except that you will only have one chance to get it, we can safely assume that it will be extremely valuable and thus very hard to kill, so we would suggest stocking up on the best possible Plants you can acquire, so as to put yourself in the best possible position for getting it. Rocket Event Rewards - New Year Event
The Rocket Event is another new addition that was introduced with the New Year Event. The main gist of it is that you have to find and set off fireworks that are scattered across the Base Islands. You do this by hitting them with your trusty Basic Bat once you have located them. You will receive a plethora of rewards for doing this, and they include in-game Money, Plants, Brainrots, special Gear, Card Pack,s etc...
Furthermore, once you have managed to set off 50 Fireworks, you can go to the Center Island and claim an additional reward consisting of amazing Plants and Brainrots such as the Party Petal Seed and Grande Explodito.
The fireworks themselves periodically spawn on every base island including your own, but you can fire any of them off, meaning you can go to other players' bases to "steal" their fireworks, and they can do the same to you. They usually take 50 hits to set off, and the rewards only go to the player who managed to deal the last hit, so keep that in mind while on the hunt for them.
Event Shop - New Year Event
Last but not least, an Event Shop also got added to Plants vs Brainrots. It is located on the Center Island, right between the Fuse Machine and the New Year Balldrop Event. Here you can purchase amazing and unique Gear that includes the Rocket Button, Hot Cocoa, Totem of Frenzy, Bear Trap, and Snow-Bowl.
Keep in mind that with each purchase of a specific item, the price of it will increase. You can reset the price of the items by setting off 50 Fireworks, so we recommend doing the Rocket Event as you play and use the Event Shop, as resetting the shop prices will save you millions of in-game dollars.
The good thing is, however, that even the players who do not have a lot of money will be able to purchase at least a few items, as the starting prices of them are quite low.
Plants vs Brainrots - New Year Event FAQs
The main reward of the New Year Event is a Brainrot called Del Blingo 2026, which will spawn exactly at midnight on New Year's Eve.
If you do not immediately see the Fireworks on one of the Base Islands, do not panic! Chances are that the current batch of them has been collected. Peel your eyes and wait for the next one to spawn!
The rewards for the Rocket Event include in-game Money, Plants, Brainrots, special Gear and Card Packs.
To reset prices in the Event Shop, you will have to set off 50 Fireworks.
