Leveling up is essentially the most important aspect of NinjaTime. When you level up, you get more stat points which you can allocate to unlock new skills and jutsu. But, figuring out what actually lets you level up can be quite confusing. So, here's all the ways to level up in Ninja Time:

  1. Complete Quests: The first and most obvious way to level up in Ninja Time is to complete Quests. For example, completing the tutorial Quests will allow you to level up to 5. The more quests and subquests you complete, the more EXP you'll gain. NPCs with a '?' above them can give you quests.
  2. Take Up Jobs: The second way you can level up in Ninja Time is by claiming Jobs from the Hokage. Initially, you can start by taking D-raked jobs, which are quite easy to complete and reward you with a few EXP points while the SS-ranked ones are extremely tough but reward over 100,000 EXP points.
  3. Clear Mobs: The last way you can farm EXP in Ninja Time is by killing hostile NPCs located on the outskirts of the villages. They can generally be found in groups and can reward you with somewhere between 5-10 to even 100+ EXP points, depending on their level.

How to earn money in Ninja Time

Like every other Roblox RPG, getting money is very important in Ninja Time which can be earned in the form of Copper, Silver, and Gold coins. There are only a few ways to earn money, apart from completing Quests. So, here's the fastest way to earn money in Ninja Time:

Completing Missions: By missions, I'm referring to Missions given to NPCs and organizations like Ankokuji. These missions will reward you with good amounts of silver and even gold coins, depending upon the difficulty level. Similarly, joining the Anbu will also provide you with tons of replayable missions that can help you farm money in Ninja Time.

If you want to know how to join the Ankokuji in Ninja Time, feel free to check out our detailed guide on it.

How to unlock and upgrade Skills

Now that you know the basics, you should also know how to unlock and upgrade skills in Ninja Time. Generally, in order to unlock skills, you need to follow the steps below:

  1. Open the in-game menu by pressing 'M' or clicking the 'Menu' button on the top right.
  2. Then select the 'Skill Tree' option.
  3. Select one of the three options, and open the Skill Trees.
  4. If you've got stat points, allocate them to unlock skills.

Now, in Ninja Time, there are three types of skills that you can unlock. Here's each of them and what they can provide:

  1. General: General Skills let you unlock Modes and Subjutsus. These are minor jutsus that are good for the early to mid-game but lack firepower in late-game scenarios. Substitution is worth unlocking for beginners, and Druken Mode is recommended for Taijutsu or Fighter players.
  2. Clan: The Clan skills are your main focus in Ninja Time. Depending on which clan you've got, this can let you access some truly overpowered skills. You can check out our clan tier list to get a clear idea about which clans are worth getting.
  3. Element: Elements provide you another skill tree, which is overall balanced, depending upon which Clan or Family you've got. You can check out our element tier list to pick the best element for your character.

After you've unlocked a skill, you can equip it by clicking on any of the empty skill slots, or replace an equipped skill. Then, you need to use your skills to slowly upgrade them. For example, leveling up an Element or Clan skill from level 1 to 2 requires you to use the skill around 10 times.

Best builds for Ninja Time

If you're wondering which combinations of Clan, Element, and Family are best to build your character in Ninja Time, then here's a clear guide to help you out.

Best Overall Build in Ninja Time

Purple Eyes Build

  • Clan: Purple Eyes (0.5% drop chance)
  • Element: Fire and Ice (5% drop chance)
  • Family: Purple Eyes (0.5% drop chance)

The above build is by far the most overpowered build in Ninja Time. Even though the chance of getting all of the above attributes can be quite tough, if you're able to pull it off, you'll be almost invincible. You'll have a ton of AoE as well as Burst skills Universal Pull and Demonic Statue. Moreover, your family perks will bolster your skill DMG significantly.

Red Eyes Build

  • Clan: Red Eyes (1% drop chance)
  • Element: Fire (19% drop chance)
  • Family: Red Eyes (1% drop chance)

The Red Eyes build is one of the most popular builds in Ninja Time. There are quite a few variations, but the Meteor Red Eyes or Teleporter Red Eyes are arguably the best options to get. With the synergy of the Family skills and Element skills like Fire Entei and Fire Dragon, it provides you with a strong DPS output in any situation.

Best PvP Build in Ninja Time

White Eyes Build

  • Clan: White Eyes (1% drop chance)
  • Element: Wind and Ice (5% drop chance)
  • Family: White Eyes (1% drop chance)

While not ideal for group fights, the White Eyes build excels in PvP scenarios. With huge Taijutsu damage, and almost one-shot capabilities, it's best for players who are playing to 1v1 bosses or other players. Do note that you'll have to max out your Taijutsu stat to get the most value out of this build.

Best PvE Build in Ninja Time

Fighter Build

  • Clan: Fighter (5% drop chance)
  • Element: Ice (5% drop chance)
  • Family: Fighter (5% drop chance)

A bit similar to the White Eyes build, but easier to unlock, and overall better PvE value can be extracted from the Fighter Build. While a bit grindy in nature, the Fighter build can let you unlock the 8 Inner Gates, which can help you use some of the best AoE as well as Burst skills. At the maximum level, it can one-shot bosses, mobs, and even players in Ninja Time.
