Pet Simulator 99 has had plenty of events up to this point, but none really compare to the Pets vs Coins event, since it completely switches up the core gameplay. This time, you will have to place your pets inside the garden and have them destroy coin piles and fight bosses to make progress inside the event. You can also gather additional resources by growing Plants. To find out exactly how to do this and much more, take a look at this complete guide we have created!

How to Farm Sunflower Coins in the Pets vs Coins event

There are two main ways of farming Sunflower Coins in the Pets vs Coins event. The first one is to place pets inside your garden, which will automatically attack piles of coins that spawn inside their lane. Once those piles have been destroyed, you will be rewarded with a certain number of coins that depends on how large a specific pile was. The second method is passive, and it involves growing plants in the empty lots opposite the pet garden, which will generate income depending on how good they are.

The Sunflower Coins are the main currency inside Pets vs Coins, and they have a wide variety of uses that will help you make progress inside the event. The first important use is for unlocking new pet lanes, which will allow you to place more pets and, in turn, annihilate larger coin piles and increase your coin flow. The second noteworthy use is to unlock more plant plots, which will allow you to grow more of them, which will again help you make more money. With that said, you can view these Sunflower uses as means of making the two coin farming strategies more effective.

You can also increase your Sunflower Coin income by rebirthing, since that will provide you with passive income modifiers. However, you can only do so once all seven pet lanes have been unlocked, and a required amount of bosses has been destroyed. Thankfully, the game shows you the current rebirth boss counter on the right side of your screen.

What are the Main Rewards in the Pets vs Coins Event

The main rewards inside the Pets vs Coins event in Pet Simulator 99 are exclusive overworld pets awarded to the top players, with the best one being the Rainbow Shiny Titanic Carrot Crocodile. However, only the top three players will be able to lay their hands on it, so it goes without saying it will be very hard to obtain. The weaker variants of this pet will be rewarded to the players in the top 1000.

You can keep track of the top 100 event players by viewing the leaderboard, which is pinned to a large tree that is located in the center of the adjacent island, where Rebirthing can also be found. The main parameter that determines a player's position on the leaderboard is the boss kill count. Namely, as you improve your farm and unlock new pets, and especially pet lanes, chest bosses will begin to spawn. Killing them will make you eligible to appear on the leaderboard. With that said, you can now see that the aforementioned Sunflower coin farming methods weren't merely to increase your income, but also to allow you to complete the win condition of the Pets vs Coins event.

Of course, doing so won't matter much if you don't even know how to join the event. Thankfully, the method is the same as for the other events such as the Fantasy World, and it involves simply pressing the event button located on the left side of the overworld menu.

Important information: rewards will be allocated based on player rankings at the event's end, which happens exactly six days after it has been released, with the exact timer also visible on the Leaderboard.

How to Get Better Pets inside the Event

Upgrade Machine Pets vs Coins

Acquiring pets inside Pets vs Coins is done by hatching the egg, which is located on the main event island. This egg can be upgraded, and once it is, better pets will start dropping from the egg. This upgrade is performed from the Upgrade Machine menu, under the "Better Eggs" section. The machine itself is also located on the central island, just to the left of the eggs themselves, so it should be very hard to miss.

You can also upgrade your existing pets, but they have to be placed inside a lane. To do so, click on them and spend coins to make all of their stats better, up to 10 times. However, beware that picking them up will reset their upgrade progress, and that every subsequent upgrade will be more expensive than the last. Thankfully, the pets can also upgrade themselves by gaining XP, which they do by attacking coin piles. In doing this, they will increase their level and with it, their stats. These levels are permanent.

How to Obtain Good Plants in Pets vs Coins

Getting plants in Pet Simulator 99 is very easy, since the seeds for them drop randomly when a coin pile is destroyed by your pets. They come in rarities that range from Basic to Legendary, and the odds of getting rarer ones can be improved by upgrading the appropriate options within the Upgrade Machine. You can also purchase them from the Farming Merchant, who is located on the main event island. However, if you want to get your hands on better plant seeds this way, you will have to earn respect with the merchant, which you do by purchasing items from him. The more respect you have, the better the seeds you can buy.

It is also important to mention that the seeds and plants can come with Mutations such as Gold, Rainbow, Shiny, and others. If they do, their income will be much larger, but these types of plants will be much rarer than their standard counterparts.
