While airborne, you must time your swings and hit Heartbreaker Sammy using your pickaxe. Each hit deals exactly 1 HP damage regardless of your pickaxe rarity. This means you must land 150 successful hits to defeat the boss.
Since everyone deals identical damage, you need to be careful about positioning and timing. Follow the boss’s movement pattern and avoid wasting swings. If multiple players are attacking, the fight ends much faster. Once defeated, a mini-event begins immediately.
