Fish It Classic & Disco events are time-limited and last until December 14, so you have to act quickly. You'll be able to catch the event-exclusive and incredibly rare secret fish Retro Maja (1/4M) and Hacker Shark (1/2,5M), as well as various other fish with Disco Mutations, the rarest and most valuable mutation type in the game. Follow our comprehensive Fish It Classic & Disco Event guide for exact timings and locations, along with tips and tricks for getting everything from the event.
How to Unlock the Iron Cafe
To unlock the Iron Cafe, you'll first need to get to Classic Island. You can do so by either spawning a boat and sailing right toward Classic Island, which is located between Esoteric Depths and Crater Island, or by using the Classic Event portal located on the beach of Fisherman Island next to the Epic Guide NPC.
Where to Find the Iron Cavern Portal

After landing on the Classic Island dock, you'll need to find the Iron Cavern portal, but be aware that you need to be level 200+ in order to go through it. To find it, you need to:
- Walk toward the Event Tix Shop and take the stairs to the right of it.
- Follow the path to the first ladder, go up it, and proceed up the second ladder to the right.
- Once you climb it, you'll see the NPC John Doe standing next to a giant pink portal inside the hill.
- Interact with it, and you'll enter the Iron Cavern.
How to Catch the Iron Cafe Fish

Once inside the Iron Cavern, you'll find a ritual site with a big statue in the middle and four smaller pillars around it. To unlock the Iron Cafe, you'll need to place four special Guppy types on the four pillars. All four Guppies spawn inside the Iron Cavern, not around the Classic Island, so don't waste your time fishing outside for them; use one of the two pools of water inside. The Guppies that you need to catch are:
| Guppies | |||
|---|---|---|---|
![]() Guest Guppy Rare 1 in 300 | ![]() Builderman Guppy Rare 1 in 300 | ![]() Brighteyes Guppy Epic 1 in 1k | ![]() Shedletsky Guppy Epic 1 in 1k |
You can use medium Luck rods to improve spawn rates for the rare and epic Guppies. Lucky Rod can work, but anything better, like the Steampunk, Astral, and some of the other high-tier Rods, are the more optimal choice. On average, it will take you between 30 minutes and 2 hours, depending on your luck.
If you catch one of them, put it on the pedestal immediately so you don't accidentally auto-sell it when emptying your inventory. After you unlock the gate to the Iron Cafe, it stays open permanently; you won't have to do this for the remainder of the event. You can now enter at any time, but the pool isn't always open. It's only open for fishing during the Disco Event, which happen every two hours.
Disco Event Spawn Time Schedule & Mechanics
The Disco Event starts at 12:00 AM UTC (midnight) and repeats every two hours, lasting 30 minutes per event window. That means you'll have 12 opportunities each day to fish from the Iron Cafe pool. The time windows are not based on server uptime, so use global UTC time to keep track. There will be a server-wide notification whenever the event starts, but you should try to be at the Iron Cafe pool at least a few minutes beforehand.
| Timezone Table For The Disco Event Window |
|---|
| UTC: 00:00 AM, 02:00 AM, 04:00 AM... |
| EST: 7:00 PM, 9:00 PM, 11:00 PM... |
| PST: 4:00 PM, 6:00 PM, 8:00 PM... |
| CET: 1:00 AM, 3:00 AM, 5:00 AM... |

During the event, the pool opens up and erupts with disco lights that illuminate the room. It will dramatically boost the spawn rates for rare the Disco Mutation appearing. The Disco Puferfish and a few other fish become catchable during the active event periods, which aren't available in the Iron Cavern and Iron Cafe.
To maximize your chances of getting everything during the event, we've prepared some time management tips below.
- Set phone alarms five minutes before the event starts.
- Join the event immediately when the notification appears.
- Arrive at the Iron Cafe five minutes early to position yourself and toggle on auto-fishing in advance, so you don't waste a single second.
- Every minute of the 30-minute window is valuable, so utilize it to the max.
Priority Fish Targets & Catch Rates
To increase your chances of completing the event and getting everything in it, it's important to prioritize your objectives so you know what to focus on throughout the event. I've prepared a list of goals below that I recommend you use as well.
- Primary Goal: Retro Maja & Hacker Shark, since they're the rarest fish in the event.
- Secondary Goal: Disco Pufferfish and others only available in the Iron Cafe.
- Tertiary Goal: Any fish with Disco Mutation, because they are very valuable for selling.
- Bonus: Complete the Iron Cafe fish index.
Best Classic Fish It Event Equipment & Setup
To give yourself the best possible advantage, you need to optimize your gear as much as possible. You'll need the Ares Rod at least if you want to catch all the Mythic fish, but the Astral Rod can be used as a substitute. Keep in mind that you won't be able to complete the index since Astral won't be able to catch one of the Secrets. I recommend you use the Ares Rod, Ghostfinn Rod, or something better if you have it, because the lower-tier rods will fail at catching Secret and Mythic fish regardless of location, since their stats aren’t high enough.
You should always be using Luck enchantments to increase your stats as high as possible. The Mutation Hunter II, which grants a +30% mutation chance, is ideal for farming the Disco mutations, with the Cursed enchantment being a great choice as well, with its +75% boost to mutation chance, although at the cost of a -75% luck debuff. The Leprechaun enchantment is a great overall choice with its +30% boost to luck.
Make sure you're using the best Bobber you've got for whatever you're farming at the moment. Mutation-boosting bobbers like Corrupt Bait and Royal Bait are great for Disco Mutation hunting, while the best overall bobber is the Corrupt Bait, with its +200% luck boost, while also offering a +10% Mutation chance and a +10% Shiny Chance.
Don't forget to use Luck Potions if you have them, because these time-limited events are the best chance to take advantage of them. You can check our guide for any active codes that might give you potions for free. Mutation Potions and Mutation Totems which you can get from the Battle Pass rewards will also work to boost your Disco Mutation chances. If you have the extra money, trigger the Cloudy event for 20k coins and increase your luck even more.
How to Farm Fish on the Classic Island Iron Cafe
I've prepared a pre-event checklist that you should follow for the best results during the Disco Event boost windows.
- Arrive at the Iron Cafe at least five minutes before the event starts.
- Check your inventory space and make sure it isn't full.
- Activate Luck Potions or Mutation Potions before the event begins.
- Have the best rod equipped with appropriate enchantments for what you're trying to catch.
- Monitor occasionally to ensure inventory isn't full and that you haven’t been kicked from the game by Roblox.
Outside the event window, make sure you use your time wisely to finish up other tasks. Fish around the Classic Island and Iron Cavern to complete the rest of the index and get the other Secret and Mythic Fish. Make sure you finish your daily quests to progress the Battle Pass and earn all the rewards.
Even if you can't attend all 12 daily events, make sure to organize your time so you can be there for as many as possible, with at least three or four being the recommended number for progress. If you don't have time to move your character between the Disco Event windows, just stay in the Iron Cafe pool with Auto mode on. You won't be catching anything while its closed, but you will be there the second it opens up again and you will automatically start fishing.
