Updated September 7, 2026
We've added more information about Cursed Fruits and race perks from Grand Blue [Early Access].
TLDR:
- Grand Blue currently has 10 Cursed Fruits, and Darkness Fruit is the best overall pick thanks to its heavy damage and crowd-control kit, though its 0.5% Celestial drop chance makes it a genuine long shot.
- Flame Fruit sits just behind at a 1.5% Mythic rate, while Wolf, Strength, and Bomb are the realistic go-to fruits you will actually roll.
- Drain, Chop, and Spike are solid mid-tier options, whereas Cannon and Spin are the weakest.
- You can get Cursed Fruits through quests, Fruit Chests, the Fruit Trader, hourly plant spawns, and free codes.
- Grand Blue also has 8 Races, with the best being Celestial at roughly a 0.1% roll, plus 33 Traits, where Copycat and Gaudy stand out.
There are several unique Cursed Fruits, Races, and Traits in Grand Blue, each with its own effects. They are not equal, and some work far better with specific builds, whether you lean toward PvP duels, boss fights, or island farming. This detailed Grand Blue tier list should help you choose the best option for your playstyle, while also explaining exactly how to get your hands on each one.
NOTE: Since Roblox Grand Blue is still in Early Access, drop rates and kits can shift between updates, so stick around and check back for updates.

What Do the Tier Rankings Mean in Our Grand Blue Cursed Fruit Tier List?
In Grand Blue, we have ranked the Cursed Fruits based on their rarity, drop chance, skill kit, combat potential, and overall usefulness in-game. Now that most Fruit movesets are documented, this list weighs how each kit performs in PvE farming and PvP, balanced against how likely you are to actually roll it from a Fruit Chest. Below, we have provided a more detailed breakdown of each tier and what it means. We also omitted the F tier entirely, since every Fruit provides at least some benefit and is better than having none at all.
Which Fruits are S-tier in Grand Blue?
S-tier are the best Cursed Fruits in Grand Blue, offering the strongest combat kits and the most useful abilities. These are the top picks overall, although their extremely low drop chances make them very hard to obtain.
| Cursed Fruit | Why this Tier? |
|---|---|
![]() Darkness Fruit Celestial, 0.5% | + Black Hole and Black Vortex pull enemies in for strong crowd control + Dark Matter and Liberation deliver heavy burst and area damage + Excellent across PvP, PvE, and boss fights − Brutal 0.5% Celestial drop chance makes it the hardest Fruit to land |
![]() Flame Fruit Mythic, 1.5% | + Fire Gun and Fire Commandment cover ranged and area damage + Fireflies orbit you, dealing damage while healing on each hit + Scales well into the endgame for questing and island farming − Very low 1.5% Mythic drop chance |
Which Fruits are A-Tier in Grand Blue?
A-tier has some great Cursed Fruits that provide strong abilities and perform very well in combat. They may not be quite as powerful as the S-tier options, but their higher drop chances more than make up for it.
| Cursed Fruit | Why this Tier? |
|---|---|
![]() Wolf Fruit Legendary, 5% | + Transforms you into a wolf for extra speed and strength + Wolf Claw, Leap, and Bite keep up relentless melee pressure and apply Bleed + Great for extended M1 duels and sword combos − Lacks the area damage of the S-tier Fruits |
![]() Strength Fruit Rare, 10% | + Galleon Lariat and Boulder Throw boost raw melee output + Works well alongside any fighting style + Common enough at a 10% drop rate to reliably build around − Offers less utility than Fruits with ranged or control tools |
![]() Bomb Fruit Epic, 6% | + Bomb Kick and Booger Bomb hit groups with explosive damage + Self Destruct charges a heavy area-of-effect blast + Useful for island quests and camp farming − Slightly overshadowed by the S-tier options |
Which Cursed Fruits are B-Tier in Grand Blue?
B-tier has several decent Cursed Fruits that provide useful abilities and can be effective for progression. They have some drawbacks compared to higher-tier options, but are still worthwhile when you obtain them.
| Cursed Fruit | Why this Tier? |
|---|---|
![]() Drain Fruit Rare, 10% | + Draining Touch passive steals essence from your M1s to power up skills + Essence Transfer heals you while you fight for solid sustain + Forgiving pick for newer players learning combat − Does not specialize in raw damage |
![]() Chop Fruit Epic, 6% | + Chop Chop Grab and Boomerang add reach and playmaking + Chop Chop Car gives handy travel utility around islands + Flexible alongside most fighting styles − Damage output trails the stronger Fruits |
![]() Spike Fruit Rare, 10% | + Spike Skewer and Spike Ball zone enemies and control space + Spike Man adds ongoing damage as you brawl + Good for keeping opponents at a distance − Falls short on sheer damage |
Which Cursed Fruits are C-Tier?
C-tier are Cursed Fruits that can still be useful, particularly early on, but are generally outperformed by stronger alternatives once you have access to better Fruits.
| Cursed Fruit | Why this Tier? |
|---|---|
![]() Cannon Fruit Uncommon, 25% | + Head Cannon and Artillery Cannon poke from a safe distance + Cannon Form lets an ally fire alongside you + Very easy to obtain at a 25% drop rate − Low overall combat ceiling − Quickly replaced by stronger Cursed Fruits |
![]() Spin Fruit Uncommon, 25% | + Spin Flight and Spin Assault focus on mobility + Very easy to obtain at a 25% drop rate + Still better than sailing with no Cursed Fruit − Limited combat potential − Lowest damage output of any Fruit − Should be replaced as soon as a better Fruit becomes available |
How to Get Cursed Fruits in Grand Blue

The easiest way to get a Cursed Fruit early on is by completing Almighty Calvin's Wizard's Apprentice quest in Anchor Town. This is the most reliable early-game method, but it is not the only one, as you can also grab Cursed Fruits by opening Fruit Chests, buying one from the Fruit Trader, or exploring the islands for the Fruits that spawn on plants and trees every hour.
To finish the Wizard's Apprentice quest, head to the raised stone platforms behind the houses and speak with Almighty Calvin to start it, then pick up the Rusty Shovel below his platform and follow the quest markers to dig up the buried objects. Once you have cleared the objectives, return to Calvin to complete the quest and receive Calvin's Treasure, which you can open from your inventory to claim your reward.
Fruit Chests are the most consistent long-term source, and they come in six sizes. Larger chests roll more Fruits at once, which improves your odds of landing a rare kit. You can buy them with in-game Money, or with Celestial Coins and Robux through the Shop. Here is the current Fruit Chest pricing in Money:
| Fruit Chest | Price (Money) |
|---|---|
| 1x Fruit Chest | 1,200 |
| 3x Fruit Chest | 3,300 |
| 10x Fruit Chest | 11,000 |
| 20x Fruit Chest | 21,000 |
| 40x Fruit Chest | 39,000 |
| 100x Fruit Chest | 98,000 |
Since Cursed Fruits grant permanent abilities and passives, choose carefully before consuming one, as there is currently no documented way to remove, switch, or reroll a Fruit after you have eaten it. The good news is that skill progress is saved per Fruit, so swapping between Fruits you already own does not wipe the mastery you have built up on each one. Each Fruit also has its own Skill Tree, with new skills unlocking as you level it, so it pays to commit and grind one kit. You can also redeem free Grand Blue codes for the occasional Fruit Chest along with rerolls and other rewards, so make sure to cash those in as well.

What Do the Tier Rankings Mean in Our Grand Blue Race Tier List?
In Grand Blue, we have ranked the races based on their combat potential, mobility, farming and fishing efficiency, exploration utility, survivability, and how consistently they perform throughout the game. This tier list considers how useful each race is for both new and experienced players across common gameplay. Below is a more detailed breakdown of each tier and what each ranking means.
Which Races are S-Tier in Grand Blue?
The best races in Grand Blue, offering the strongest overall advantages and excellent usefulness across combat, mobility, exploration, and general gameplay. These are the top choices overall, although some can be very hard to obtain due to their rarity.
| Race | Why this Tier? |
|---|---|
![]() Celestial Mythic | + The rarest Race in the game with a roughly 0.1% roll. + Grants a discount on Shop items and a helpful pet NPC that follows you around. + A prestige pick built for long-term accounts. − Extremely difficult to obtain, so most players will never roll it. |
![]() Seafolk Rare | + Swim faster and never drown, which makes island travel far smoother. + Regenerate health faster and deal 10% more damage while soaked. + 15% chance to reel in a second fish, plus 25% bonus fishing XP. − Its perks lean toward exploration and fishing rather than raw combat. |
Which Races are A-Tier in Grand Blue?
Excellent races that provide strong advantages and perform very well across multiple aspects of the game. They may not be quite as powerful or desirable as the S-tier options, but they remain highly valuable choices.
| Race | Why this Tier? |
|---|---|
![]() Beastfolk Epic | + A permanent speed boost that ramps up even further at night. + Your M1s stack Static, discharging bonus Lightning damage and a brief slow at 5 stacks. + On a full moon your instincts awaken for +15% M1 damage and extra movement speed. + Comes in Cat and Bunny variants that share the same kit. − Lacks the standout rarity of the very best Races. |
![]() Skyfolk Epic | + Glide freely and gain omnidirectional air dashes. + Deal 10% more damage while airborne. + Movement skills and dashes travel 20% farther, plus you get an extra dash charge. − Its value depends on how much you fight and reposition in the air. |
![]() Half Fish Epic | + Shares Seafolk's aquatic kit for fast, drown-proof swimming. + Regenerates health and adds 10% damage while soaked, plus strong fishing bonuses. + An excellent choice for exploration. − Does not match the overall value of a top Seafolk roll. |
Which Races are B-Tier in Grand Blue?
Decent races that provide useful advantages and can be effective for progression. They have some drawbacks compared to higher-tier options, but are still worthwhile with the right playstyle.
| Race | Why this Tier? |
|---|---|
![]() Long Arm Epic | + Extends your M1 range by 10% for safer close-range trades. + Grants an extra skill slot on top of the reach bonus. + A good fit for players who prefer melee combat. − More specialized than the higher-ranked Races. − Less useful for exploration and general progression. |
![]() Dwarf Epic | + 15% chance to double mining and smelting resources, plus 25% more mining XP. + Boosts Max Health by 10% and upgrades all of your gear by one level. + Cuts weapon skill cooldowns by 10%, which suits bruiser builds. − Reduces your movement speed by 10%. − Leans toward grinding and durability over all-around value. |
Which Races are C-Tier in Grand Blue?
Mid-tier races that can still be useful, particularly for players just starting out, but are generally outperformed by stronger alternatives once you have access to better Races.
| Race | Why this Tier? |
|---|---|
![]() Human Common | + The default Race, so it is extremely easy to obtain. + Grants an extra skill slot and is completely viable for progressing through the game. + Worth keeping if you are already comfortable with it. − Lacks the specialized advantages that make the rarer Races attractive. − Usually worth replacing if you roll anything else. |

What Do the Tier Rankings Mean in Our Grand Blue Trait Tier List?
The tier rankings in our Grand Blue Trait Tier List show how useful and powerful each Trait is in common gameplay. The Trait rankings follow the same logic as our Fruit and Race lists, weighing raw combat value, mobility, and utility for PvP and PvE. Since Traits are rolled and rerolled through Customize Character, it is worth spending your Trait Rerolls chasing the S and A picks, and keeping something useful equipped in the meantime. You can read the full breakdown of each Trait below.
Which Traits are S-Tier in Grand Blue?
S-tier Traits are the strongest choices in Grand Blue, offering excellent overall benefits and combat potential.
| Trait | Why this Tier? |
|---|---|
![]() Copycat Mythic | + Can copy the last non-Fruit skill that hits you, giving you access to an additional ability. + Extremely versatile and potentially powerful in PvP. + Can adapt to the opponent's own moveset. − Requires an opponent to hit you with a useful skill first. |
![]() Gaudy Mythic | + Grants a fourth accessory slot, providing an additional source of stats and effects. + Extremely flexible and useful for virtually every build and playstyle. + Its value scales with the quality of your accessories. − Requires good accessories to reach its full potential. |
![]() Maniac Mythic | + Provides a massive 25% damage increase while below half health. + Also grants 15% damage reduction while below half health. + Excellent for clutch situations and extended fights. − Deals 10% less damage while above half health. |
![]() Battle Tempo Legendary | + Landing attacks progressively increases damage, up to 7.5%. + Rewards aggressive and consistent combat. + Particularly effective during prolonged fights. − Taking hits reduces the accumulated bonus. − The bonus resets when leaving combat. |
![]() Glass Cannon Legendary | + Provides a straight-up 15% damage increase. + Extremely effective for aggressive PvP and damage-focused builds. + Works consistently rather than relying on a specific situation. − Can be somewhat of a "double edged sword" since you also take 15% more damage. |
Which Traits are A-Tier in Grand Blue?
A-tier Traits are also highly effective and provide strong advantages, though they may be slightly weaker or more specialized.
| Trait | Why this Tier? |
|---|---|
![]() Man of Steel Mythic | + Prevents small attacks from stunning you. + Very strong against opponents who rely on frequent smaller attacks. + Provides excellent consistency in combat. − Has less impact against powerful individual attacks. |
![]() Protagonist Legendary | + Activates below 20% health and provides both damage and damage reduction. + Can dramatically improve your chances of surviving a losing fight. + Its effectiveness scales with Willpower. − Only activates once per fight. |
![]() Pyromaniac Legendary | + Burn effects build 25% faster. + Burn damage ticks are also 25% stronger. + Extremely strong when paired with a build that consistently applies Burn. − Situationally useful: practically useless if your build does not rely on Burn. |
![]() Predator Legendary | + Legendary rarity makes it an extremely valuable roll which is almost certain to land it in at least A tier. − Its effect is currently unknown, making its exact value impossible to determine. |
![]() Arrogant Epic | + Provides a significant 15% damage increase while above 90% health. + Excellent for players who can consistently avoid taking damage. + Simple and reliable damage boost. − Loses its bonus after dropping below 90% health. |
![]() Prodigy Epic | + Provides 15% more EXP for various XP categories. + One of the best Traits for overall progression and farming. + Remains useful throughout the entire game. − Provides no direct combat advantage. |
![]() Marathoner Epic | + Can build up to +4 Speed while running without being hit. + Excellent mobility potential. + Useful for both travelling and repositioning during combat. − Getting hit completely resets the accumulated Speed. |
![]() Second Wind Epic | + Restores all Energy when you fall below 20% health. + Grants Hyperarmor for 5 seconds, making it excellent for surviving dangerous situations. + Can completely change the outcome of a fight. − Only activates once per fight. |
Which Traits are B-Tier in Grand Blue?
B-tier Traits are decent options that help with progression but are noticeably weaker than the top picks.
| Trait | Why this Tier? |
|---|---|
![]() Nimble Rare | + Grants an additional Dash. + Excellent for mobility and dodging attacks. + Useful in both PvE and PvP. − Provides no direct damage or defensive bonus. |
![]() Adrenaline Rare | + Restores 10% HP and all Energy after knocking down or defeating an enemy. + Very useful for sustained PvE combat and farming. + Can provide substantial sustain during multiple encounters. − Has a 30-second cooldown. |
![]() Iron Will Rare | + Reduces attacks that deal more than 10% of your health by 10%. + Provides consistent defensive value against strong attacks. − Does not significantly help against weaker attacks. |
![]() Gourmand Rare | + Makes food buffs 25% stronger. + Food buffs also last 25% longer. + Excellent utility for players who regularly use food buffs. − Its effectiveness solely depends on actually using food. |
![]() Sturdy Guard Epic | + Once every 20 seconds, your Guard can withstand an attack that would normally break it. + Particularly useful in PvP. + Can prevent devastating guard-break situations. − The effectiveness of this perk is heavily limited by its cooldown. |
![]() Assassin Epic | + Your first attack from out of combat deals 25% additional damage. + The bonus increases to 30% when attacking from behind. + Excellent for ambushes and opening attacks. − The bonus is limited to the first attack only. |
![]() Escape Artist Rare | + Gives you a burst of Speed after recovering from a knockdown. + Useful for escaping dangerous situations. − Requires you to be knocked down before activating. |
![]() Vengeful Uncommon | + Builds damage whenever you are hit, up to 10%. + Rewards you for surviving sustained attacks. − Requires you to take damage to activate. − The maximum bonus is relatively modest. |
![]() Athlete Uncommon | + Dashes recharge 40% faster outside combat. + Dashes recharge 20% faster during combat. + Excellent general mobility. − Provides no direct damage or survivability increase. |
Which Traits are C-Tier in Grand Blue?
C-tier Traits can still be useful, especially for newer players, but are generally outperformed by better choices.
| Trait | Why this Tier? |
|---|---|
![]() Early Bird Uncommon | + During daytime, grants +1 Speed and 5% additional Damage. + Provides both offensive and mobility benefits. − Only active during the day. |
![]() Night Owl Uncommon | + The nighttime version of Early Bird. − Only active during nighttime. |
![]() Coward Uncommon | + Provides a burst of Speed when below 30% health. + Can help you escape when close to defeat. − Only activates at dangerously low health. − Requires you to stop attacking to benefit from the effect. |

Which Traits are D-Tier in Grand Blue?
D-tier Traits are the weakest options and are usually worth replacing as soon as a better Trait becomes available.
| Trait | Why this Tier? |
|---|---|
![]() Hoarder Common | + Reduces the amount of Gold lost when dying or being pickpocketed by 50%. + Can save money during progression. − Provides no benefits for fighting or farming. − Its usefulness depends on actually losing Gold. |
![]() Diver Common | + Doubles your underwater oxygen duration. + Useful for underwater exploration. − Extremely situational compared with combat-oriented Traits. |
![]() Enduring Speed Common | + Prevents the movement slowdown caused by low Energy. + Can make travelling more comfortable. − Its effect is relatively minor. − Offers little value when compared with stronger mobility Traits. |
![]() Pitcher Common | + Doubles the travel speed of thrown rocks. + Can improve the effectiveness of rock throwing. − Extremely niche compared to Traits that improve general combat or mobility. |
Darkness Fruit is the best overall thanks to its crowd control and burst damage, but at a 0.5% Celestial drop chance, it is very rare. Flame Fruit is the next best at 1.5%. Since both are hard to roll, Wolf, Strength, and Bomb are the strongest Fruits most players will actually use.
Darkness is Celestial at 0.5%, Flame is Mythic at 1.5%, Wolf is Legendary at 5%, Bomb and Chop are Epic at 6% each, Strength, Drain, and Spike are Rare at 10% each, and Cannon and Spin are Uncommon at 25% each.
There is no guaranteed way to get the Darkness Fruit. It has the lowest drop chance in the game at 0.5%, so you have to keep opening Fruit Chests, checking the hourly plant and tree spawns, and hoping it appears. Larger Fruit Chests open more Fruits at once and improve your odds over time.
From the title screen, open Customize Character, where you can spend Race Rerolls and Trait Rerolls. You earn rerolls by completing quests, defeating enemies, and redeeming active codes.
Celestial is the top Race at roughly a 0.1% roll, offering a Shop discount and a helpful pet NPC. Because it is so rare, Seafolk is the strongest Race most players can realistically get, thanks to its swimming, survivability, and fishing perks.
